========= The Beginning ============
1. Click the big castle in the center of the map, The Hall of Heros
2. In the very back-right corner, you'll see a familiar character. Click him!
3. Hey! It's our old friend again. Looks like he has a new job-- Janitor. Click that button that's next to him.
---> Hm, nothing happened.
4. Oh well, Now click the Altadorian Archives, then go into the doorway on the right.
5. Click the book that is under one of the table legs and balancing it.
---> Hm, we're going to have to replace it...
6. Now go to the QUARRY. And find a rock that'll be suitable. Stumped? Here.
---> Aha! A good replacement for that book...
7. Go back to the Altadorian Archives and click that same book again.
---> We can access the book now! (Located near the top-right part of the scene)
8. You can read the prologue from that book now.
---> Advance a page by clicking the top-right of the book, go back by clicking the top-left.
*** Page 1~3 Acquired! *** (out of 53 pages)
9. Go back to the Janitor in The Hall of Heros and talk to him.
---> Hm. We're going to need something to help oil some gears...
10. Click each statue until you find a bottle of oil & a rag
---> Note: Location is different for each person. Perhaps you should write where you found it, just in case. (Although evidence indicates that it is NOT relevant)
11. Once you've found it, go back to the Janitor and click the button again.
---> The ceiling opens up! Let there be LIGHT!

======= Enlightenment =========
Alright, so here are points of interests now.
* On the left side of The Hall of Heros, there is now a staircase leading up to a dome-shaped room. Looks like a telescope is missing.
* Although using "http://www.neopets.com/altador/archives.phtml?board=6" once got you to the Astronomy Club, it NO LONGER WORKS and in fact NEVER WORKED to begin with. Disregard this.
* If you click each statue in The Hall of Heros, on the very top pixels /section of the picture of the statue, you can look up, and get some arrangement of gems. The following are the same for EVERYONE, here is the breakdown:
- 20 above King Altador
- 22 above Jerdana
- 22 above Siyana
- 22 above Kelland
- 19 above Florin
- 18 above Torakor
- 19 above Darkest faerie
- 22 above marak
- 16 above fauna
- 20 above Psellia
- 17 above Gordos
- 19 above Sasha

Anyone notice that the janitor says, 'curse you', could that have anything to do with the statues being cursed?

I say "curse you" to people all the time - in a joking sort of way. I think that's what they were referring to.

Also, the constellation in the sky as seen from the observatory is Jerdana's constellation (at least for me)

Hey there, I know this does not further theories or anything for this plot, but I am just wondering. Talador seems to maybe be where the fairies from this plot come from. I remember reading something that said Psellia comes from Talador, but I can not find that source again. I know Siyana comes from there as well. According to her card, the land of Talador is in eternal darkness now. Does anybody know of a card, or something that may have said Psellia comes from Talador? I am just asking, because I am interested to see if Talador becomes part of this plot. There is a TCG card, called "Defenders of Ador" and while I thought it was Altador because King Altador and Jeraden are on the cover, I am wondering if perhaps, it might be Talador. Anyhow, if you know somewhere that it mentions Talador and Psellia, i would greatly appreciate it if you can point me in that direction.

I think Neopets said that Talador's name was changed to Altador when they redid the Darkest Faerie game. Too bad they already had a whole bunch of merchandise with Talador written on it.

I hope they give us an in-story explanation for it.

i wish someone did know what came next and alot of people are trying to figure out but i dont know if anyone tried this but at 10:17 nst i went to the gather and looked at the gems above and got nothing ill be doing this al day and let anyone know if i get something (i get the times from the amount of gems ant the statue location

Thats been there since the oil/rag. Read the first post it mentions it and the missing telescope...under enlightenment. There doesnt seem to eb anything new to do yet

The first post states this is a "mini plot" but TNT said it was a miner plot and that might mean something else entirely.

awhile ago, folks were commenting on the usable steps behind Gordos, the Collector, there was also discussion of the hallway behind the dark faerie. Could it be possible that the usable steps are a there as a hint that the background of the statues may become clickable in the future.

Whenever I see the sun symbol in the entrance of the archives, it always makes me think that it'll open up into a spiral staircase going down at some point

So since they said it'd be something very minor accompanying it due to their need for a rest, it is reasonable to assume that this plot will be a mini plot, not neccessarily as small as the petpet-jelly world mini plot, or some of the others but still not as large as the LDP, CoM, HATIC, Meridell I/II, Crown, Virtupet, Mystery Island, Gadsgadsbogen,The lucky coin thing, and the other sort of puzzles like Usurper, the Ski lodge, and Staff sacrifices...

It appears to be well-worn over the first few letters *before* Ador. Looks like something ate through the cover. It could be Talador or Altador.
