Hey, I'd like to let people know about a new avatar guide I've made. It's like any other avatar guide, except for one thing.

On the page there's a text box. Paste your list of avatars (from your chat preferences page) into that box, click a button, and all the avatars you already have will disappear from the guide, leaving you with only the ones you still have to get.

Why did I make this? Because I wanted it. It gets immensely frustrating clicking on a whole bunch of different links because you don't know if you've already gotten that avatar and you don't want to miss any, and doing that every time you go back to that page. (I have a bad memory.)

And it helps a lot. For instance, I would have sworn I had the nerkmid avatar already. But when I used my own guide, I realized I didn't. And I've been hoping and hoping for the Sloth! one for a while now--only to realize that I've had it for about a year without knowing. O_o

So here it is: dolphinling's avatar shower and hider. I hope you find it useful, and any feedback (here or through neomail) would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy! :)

P.S.: I've put it under a Creative Commons license, so if PPT (or anywhere else) wants to use it on their own site, they can. :)

Edit: I forgot to mention, it doesn't work in IE. If you use Firefox or any other non-IE browser it'll work fine.

You don't. That's one of the reasons it doesn't work in IE, IE gives you that message. If you get Firefox (or any other non-IE browser) it will display normally in the page.

This is good! :)

I tried it on Opera and it works well.

However I have the meowclops and gadsgads game avatar already.. but it's still showing up. Is there a problem somewhere?

The meowclops was a typo. Fixed, and thank you. The gadgadsgame was a typo on Neopets' part, that I forgot to also make . 8) Once again, fixed, and thank you.

You're welcome.. now I can keep track of all the avatars I haven't obtained much more easily.. :P

I think I missed out a couple more that shows up with it isn't supposed to (I have it already).. I tried again and it seems that starting from the "Games" section everything is showing up now..

Very neat and helpful. It's hard sorting through full avatar guides looking for ones you need. :)

I'mhaving the same problem. From the games section down, all the avatars are coming up whether I have them or not.

Ugh, yeah, that was an annoying bug to track down. Turned out I forgot to update one of the files when I fixed the meowclops/gadgadsgame typos, and so everything from gadgadsgame down didn't work.

Fixed now, and thank you!

It works now.. great job on fixing it!

The other 2 that still have problems with them are "Kadoatie - Mew" & "Cap'n Threelegs". I have those 2 and they are still showing up as well.

I hope you don't mind me being too noisy.. it's all for the good of the guide! :D

Hehe, I'm glad you are! I only have one of the four you've mentioned, I probably never would have found them all. :)

I've made a small behind-the-scenes change to this that should make it nearly 50 times as fast! (49.09 times as fast, to be exact.) Where it used to take three seconds or so to go through the list, it should now do it in under one tenth of a second. Pretty cool, huh? ;) Your use should be unaffected, but please keep telling me if you find any bugs. :)

Great job, dolphinling!!
I actually found two clickables that I thought I had. I wouldn't have noticed them without this.
Thanks much. :) Referring all my guild members to it now. ;)
