2 of the new ads I've seen lately.

1) The Vonage ad where the honeymoon XXX video is accidently being returned to the store (on the bottom)

2) The video of the man playing with the baby above his head ... and then the baby spits up all over him. (on the top)

Do we really need to see either of these things? The first one is funny, at least ... the second one is just completely gross.

Though I don't see them myself -- sorry, I know some Firefox converts go overboard (sort of like reformed smokers), and I agree that people shouldn't have to change browsers just to play a game, but I would never go back to Neopets without Firefox & Adblock -- I agree that those ads are obnoxious.

And apparently, some of the banners are making noise now -- in a guild someone mentioned a "swat the fly" ad that buzzes, fer cryin' out loud!

Tune in next month, when you'll be able to hear the baby vomit!

I knwo the feeling. I am a foxfire user now. I loaded Explorer, and was overwhelmed at the difference.

Ugh, another reason to keep my speakers turned off while I'm on the site. I did have them on and heard that awful noise, took a minute to figure out that it wasn't my puter about to a'splode!

Have also seen that xxx and was like WHA?!!! and I really liked the bottom box ad for ky, I thought that was real appropriate too :P

Luckily, I only see the darned things if I go on my other account - have premium on my main and haven't decided if I want to put the other account on my alias. Once you choose one, that's it, you can't change it. And that other account may be closing soon. Yes, it's the ads, I hate them SO much and I'm NOT changing browsers for one site.

Hopefully (though not likely), the release of the Neo Movie will mean that TNT can cut down on the ads. Or at least these kinds ads.

Yea, the ads are absolutely obnoxious and I think that if they don't screen their ads better eventually parents of young children are going to start banning the site from their kids (I would have ages ago if I were a parent, even if they didn't have the ads--the game is insidious in a lot of ways and I don't think kids under 7 should play it).

Personally, if it wasn't for adblock, I wouldn't be playing anymore.

Personally, I find the free Ipod one very bad because it leads to a site that requires you to install a set of smilies with hiddened browser hijacker in them. Haven't come across the two you have mentioned though.

Isn't the hijacker called Hotbar?

If it is that one, don't just uninstall it!!! It'll just reinstall itself the next time you reboot your pc.
You need to go to http://www.pchell.com/support/hotbar.shtml

on firefox you can disable all flash and have a button you can press play when you want to see it... like on games and stuff... the small hassle of having to click them is outweighed by how fast everything loads. The extension is called Flashblock
