Hm, I received another batch of invites. Only 1 though, which is weird...

I have a feeling that invites come depending on how many messages you send or receive.

people on the Gmail swap boards have been saying they're only getting 1 invite now, it seems to them that gmail is limiting the amount of invites now to 1 (maybe trying to prevent an overload? who knows).

I've sent and received at least twenty messages, and I never got any invites. It's been 3 days too.

If someone bids on that, they'll be even crazier still.

I've used nearly 4% thus far(like 115 emails) and I've still reiceved no invites. I'm not in any rush for them, but it would be cool to see how it works(i.e. how you get them).

I still think its based on how active your invites become(i.e I got an invite from yoshi, and I use my account bunches, so maybe that has some effect on him).

What is Gmail? Isn't it Google's response to yahoo?

I wouldn't say they're responding to Yahoo or Hotmail, it more their take on webmail.

Actually...Yahoo's update was a response to Google. The 1 GB space compared to Yahoo's (former) and Hotmail's space would really have pulled a lot of people off.

You'd sell him for non-magic beans, or a nice cardboard box...

Or the egg of a flightless bird. Or a piece of lint from a hobo. Or if I'm in a really good mood, the crusty stuff at the bottom of a bin that hasn't been washed in three years.

Or a shoelace.
