The following pets are all in the Pound as we speak. I began playing Neopets again in July, and the lab ray favored me with all of these new colors since then. The original intention was to adopt, zap, and pound again, but of course that wasn't possible. Since the pound has been down, they've been accumulating; no doubt there will be more before the pound is up again. I predict that the pound will start out empty. I don't prefer this. I'd like for the pets I have put in there after bringing up their stats to be there, but I would be surprised if this happens.

I doubt TNT will do that. When you go to abandon one of your pets, they give you this message:

The Adoption portion of the pound is currently undergoing maintenance. If you abandon a Neopet, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADOPT IT until the maintenance is complete.

Bold emphasis is mine, and I think it makes my point. (If this was what you were getting at, thetrueoogabooga, I apologize; I wasn't sure if you were calling attention to their precise words, or pointing out the fact that the pound is still down.)

Thank you, Illyandria. I agree, the words "until maintenance is complete" do seem to imply that when maintenance is complete that we'll be able to retrieve our pets. I hope that they are being well-fed, meanwhile.

The thing is, I think that is exactly what they are doing...

Yeah. Figuring out what happens to the clothing on a pet is the hard part (remember, the pound went down right after the redesign with customization and such). What should happen if you try to abandon a pet without all its clothing? You don't want the clothing to magically regenerate (colors like robot, where the clothes cover the entire pet, will devalue like a rock), but you might not want to allow the painted pets to be abandoned "naked", or to force someone to have to rebuy all the original clothing if they gave it away / sold it off.

I'm worried that there are so many pets still being abandoned into the system, while it's still in a broken state...
