Charisma, did you try booting your computer into Safe Mode? You might be able to get rid of it while in there.

Try running a scan in either safe mode or command prompt. Using command prompt won't scan the registry for infections, but it will be guaranteed to delete the files themselves.

Sp2 is released according to /., its about 250MB and should be available on the Microsoft website. They're also offering it on CD if you have a slower connection.

Does anyone know if it's possible to configure Norton Security so it will let me use MSN Messenger without me having to turn it off? My mom's very paranoid about people stealing our personal information (Why does she keep it on the internet computer and not on the safe one? No clue.) and if it's off for 5 seconds (my convos take considerably longer:p) she freaks out.

Any suggestions?

It was released but only to MSDN customers or something. I heard it's on P2P networks.. *whistle*.. Or you could find some links on KevinRose.com

As for you, I forgot how to unblock a port.. I haven't used norton stuff since.. a few years. I think MSN works on port 1863 so you'd have to unblock it.

Ummm.. its been a while since i've been to ppt.. and no I don't play neopets anymore.. since 2004

That particular port doesn't show up on the port list when I went to configure it.

You need to change the setting in the BIOS when your computer boots up.

If you get a picture while booting it doesn't matter, that thing you can change in the BIOS is just if you have multiple graphic cards installed, then you can choose which one to boot with. If you only have one it does that automaticly I think.

The only version of it available now is the network one. Service Pack 2 for personal computers (not within a network) has not been released yet.

But if that's the one you need, here's the link:

Did you ever try putting the old card back in, changing the setting, and then putting the new one in?

Just tried installing Photoshop. I have two hard drives on my computer, and I selected to install it to my D: Drive because it contains all random programs that aren't neccessary to keep my poor old computer running.

Except a little screen still comes up saying I need 51MB of space on my C: drive to install it....Which the C: drive does have. Except I'm not even installing it to the C: drive in the first place.

....Help?

Probably, that space you need on the C: drive is for necessary OS files (I presume you're using windows) like DLLs and other file library-type critters.

Question of my own:

How do I physically locate a server? I'm familiar with the whois command at network solutions and the like, but how can I actually find out the geographic location of a server?

If the server has it's own IP, you might be able to figure out roughly where it is that way.
