Don't worry, I don't even use Neomail much anymore. E-mail has no filters. :D

And the person I was talking to is my best friend, if she reports me I'll go to her house and slap her. ^_^

Hrmm... Medli said that it was a bad word to her. It's not a bad word to me. That's probably the reason -- some monitors may think it's a bad word, while others don't (and therefore don't filter it).

I'm pretty sure it's not considered a bad word in England. Since I'm English, I guess I don't either. :D

It's not always country that matters. I'm American and I won't mind if people say that (and various other words) to me, while a friend of mine will yell at me if I say that in front of him. It's more of a personality thing, I believe.

I think it's more of a condition of how the person is raised. If they grow

up with parents who cuss all the time, they're more likely to cuss when

they get older, a lot. But if there parents grow up telling them never ever

to cuss, and hardly cuss themselves, they're more likely to flip out and

report someone if they see someone say a "so called cuss word', even

one such as "Damn", or "Hell". I've cussed freely, in front of my parents,

teachers, and friends since I was a 11-12 year old kid. It never bothered

them, exept a couple a strict teachers who protect children like they have

to live inside a box all there life. The warning I got from TNT suprised me

however, if you can get a warning from saying a word, then shouldn't

you not use it in NQ2 and block on the NeoBoards?

Skipped Lines for easier reading.

Thats a real snaggle-toothed needlepoint jalopeno! A truly strawberried television!

That would make sense. My parents swear and my brother swears a lot, and kids at school swear (well during lunch when there's no teachers). :P

Why do you blame the entire team, though? Just wondering. Most of us want to cut back on any misguided monitoring too, especially those of us who've been frozen by accident before. :/

I don't blame the entire team. I just blame the people who are wussies and can't handle one little word. ^_^

TNT doesn't really mean the entire team to us, more of that staff member that we don't know. You're right though that we really shouldn't say it's all of the team's fault.

Since we're on the topic of questionable censoring... Here's one thing I can't figure out. There's a reference to illegal drug usage on someone's pet lookup (see: RicoRomano) which I have reported several times but nothing has been done about it. I think it's insane that a minor swear word would receive so much attention, but references to smoking pot would be allowed, on what's considered a family site. And it's so frustrating to sent in reports and never know if they're read or just being ignored... It's like talking to a wall. And there's the issue of my shop stock disappearing and the bug reports being ignored...

Off topic: How long does a PPT account have to be inactive before it's deleted? I was stunned when I tried to log in and it couldn't find my username.

Some things take longer for the moniters to get to probably... its a big site, probably harder to catch lookups than neoboard reports.

And, ppt accounts are never deleted. This is a new forum, the old database was lost, so all of us needed to re-register (much like yourself) :)

Untrue. My parents never 'cuss' and I started 'cussing' about 3 years ago. But not in front of my parents or family. I only 'cuss' in front of my friends. My brother never 'cusses' and he will yell at me if I even say the word 'crap'. He's 14 and I am very proud that he doesn't swear. It's rare to hear him say 'damn' or anything as minor as that.

There was a change in the forums that involved the old database being removed. We don't delete old, inactive accounts.

I'm also curious as to why that hasn't been removed yet. You'd think that TNT would've spotted that one as soon as it was made.

The boards got deleted a few months ago and everyone's accounts were deleted, so that's probably what happen to your's.

Edit: DiscordantNote beat me to it.

That's really odd that none of the staff has done anything about RicoRomano's lookup, or even seen it. I reported it too.
