Kougra 2 Won!

I'm very disappointed that Kougra #6 didn't win...but I guess as long as Kougra #1 didn't win (*shudder*), I'm happy.

I'm not a preteen girl and I voted for #2! Stop with the stereotypes guys!! I voted for #2 because all the other ones sucked. I don't know what the big deal is about it being cutesy or cartooney - IT'S A CARTOON! And you can't really blame this one on npt because it was OUR vote.

Yes, they are. Most of the Neopet users voted for Kougra 2 and that's what won. They're tweaking it a little but they are giving us what we want.

No, they're not. They're tweaking it to make it look older and less cute. If they were giving us exactly what we voted for, we'd be getting an unchanged (aside from not being a sketch) kougra #2. We're getting mostly what we voted for, but not exactly. That's a fact. There's nothing to argue about here.

I didn't vote for it anyway... I just hope the changed one is better. I can't help but worry that an "older" face will look really weird on the little cub body.

We're getting mostly what we voted for, but not exactly. That's a fact. There's nothing to argue about here.

They know many people do not like the Kougra which was chosen because it looked like a baby. Therefore people who complained it was babyish are getting a more "grown up" version. They're trying to please everyone. Don't make TNT look like the bad guys. Sure, if they really wanted to give us exactly what we wanted we would've got Kougra 2 the way it is. But since they value the opinions of Kougra and Non-Kougra owners they want to fix it so it pleases everyone.

Ok maybe Neopets has become more cute, I'd say it has by quite a bit over the years (McDonalds commercials, ugh) but I guess its had its degree of cuteness from many years ago, pets like the Shoyru and Usul have been around for a long time, but pets like the Buzz and Grarrl kinda balanced it out...ok I don't where I'm going with this just roll with me.

Wow, go ahead and misinterpret everything I said, why don't you?

I'm not railing against TNT or trying to make them look like "the bad guys." I'm just saying that, once again, they're not giving us exactly what we voted for. With both this revamp and the gelerts, they let us vote, but then ended up making the newly designed pet either a combination of two winning styles or a tweaked version of the winning one. My words on this subject weren't an opinion; they were fact.

I understand that you think this is a good thing, and that's cool. I hope the newly revamped kougra will be as great as everyone is expecting. I didn't vote for #2 because I thought it was too babyish, so I'll be really happy if the tweaked version is better. I'm worried an "older" face will look odd on a cub's body, but I'm going to wait and see what they come up with before I decide whether or not it's bad. So stop accusing me of trying to make TNT look bad when all I've done is stated a fact and expressed my reservations.

i really like #2, and i think it would be well suited to a baby kougra, but i prefered the older looking pets for the rest of the colours.

but then i dont really mind as i dont have a kougra and there are loads of other pets i'd rather have.

since this is such a hugely different kougra, will they be leaving the non-standard colours as they are, or re-doing them too??

Number 2 is okay, though I voted for 1. It's cute in a huggly way. ^_^

They better not touch the Darigan or Mutant Kougras. Sure, I don't have them, and don't plan on getting them, but I still like them!

You're not trying too, but you did. You made them sound like as if they don't care about the users, as in not giving us what we want.

A good half of the non-standard colors have been updated or created very recently (faerie, maraquan, plushie, royal, tyrannian, darigan...) so I think most of those will be left untouched. I think the ones that are done in the "old boring" style (desert, mutant, pirate, halloween, island) are the ones we can expect the changes in.

I liked kougra 6 the most but really kougra 2 was close behind, so I'm not disappointed at all. I can't wait till they are released so I can see how it looks when finished

On Mara Kougra...seriously, would ANYONE complain if it got a revamp and was actaully a totaly redraw unlike what we currently have? Mara kougra is pretty horrible in poses, but the colors and thought was nice...just not exacuted(sp) well.

I really liked the look of it, but it just came out horrible as it was just a Kougra with its' hind legs ripped off. Might have gotten beaten down with those hind legs.
