So....it's a week early, but this was in the news today:
Quote:
BREAKING NEWS: Eliv Thade has made off with all of the Halloween trick-or-treat bags. He claims the last few years, they were far too easy to find, so this year he took matters into his own hands. Thade has hidden the bags around Neopia with clues to each location in the form of... you guessed it.... anagrams! Eliv Thade has provided us with seven anagrams; unscramble each one to uncover his hiding spots:
Tersde Msar
Pacwlysmk Sitlhg Anactifats
Peurs Pypah Yci Unf Nosw Psoh
Gidanar Syot
Eht Rinab Eret
Toalelebcelc Aes Lsehls
Neadlkru Ginnim Oprc
I enjoyed figuring them out on my own this year...and it being anagrams, it did take me a hair longer than the past puzzles.
Answers and links in spoilers:
Tersde Msar: Desert Arms I knew that one was too easy! Collect your prize but don't get too brash now.
Pacwlysmk Sitlhg Anactifats: Lampwyck's Lights Fantastic You really figured it out? I concluded this one would stump even AAA himself! You didn't look up the answer… did you? Bah, either way I owe you a reward.
Peurs Pypah Yci Unf Nosw Psoh: Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop I didn’t think anyone would figure that one out! Well, I suppose you earned this prize.
Gidanar Syot: Darigan Toys Another one solved! Are you sure you even want this goodiebag? There's no greater reward than the feeling of pure exhilaration upon cracking a particularly tricky puzzle after all. Fine you uncultured snorkle, take your materialistic reward!
Eht Rinab Eret: The Brain Tree You might have more brains than that overgrown oak! Go ahead and take your prize.
Toalelebcelc Aes Lsehls: Collectable Sea Shells Humph… Go ahead and take your goodie bag. I'll be anagrammatizing your tombstone soon enough anyway.
Neadlkru Ginnim Oprc: Kreludan Mining Corp. Drat, you found another! What, have you been hanging out with Gilly? Hurry up and take your prize before I change my mind!
It doesn't appear that there are many new items this year - Halloween Skull Cake and Were Apple are so far the only bag-exclusive items, though some previous year's items have been re-released and so far Halloween Paint Brushes and Ghost Petpet Paint Brushes have been found as the special items in some bags. I'm leaving mine closed for now in my SDB. JellyNeo is updating the Trick or Treat bags openable items guide as they collect more data.
I wish I'd caught the snide remarks that Eliv Thade makes when you find them. BLP is going through his and reading them out loud and they're hilarious!
ETA: JN saved the text. I've edited it into the spoilers with the answers. Uncultured snorkle.

It was definitely not on my radar either. This is, however, the first year (ever?) that we've had clues for Trick or Treat bags, so I guess they decided to give them to us the week before rather than the day of (where we would just go look all over the sight or just click links from those who had already found them - and in early years, it was the same places every year!). I enjoyed the difference!
ETA: It looks like a few other bag-specific items have been discovered since yesterday. Glad I didn't jump to open or anything!

Yeah, I meant in general, compared to other types of find-these-places clues, I prefer the anagrams. And definitely compared to the old random searching.
Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!

Gotcha, Siniri.
I'm waiting to see if the remaining bags pop up with bag-specific items. 4 of the bags have special new items (2 of which also have p/b's), but the other 3 don't. Seems weird to me.

Hmm. Deadly dice. I know it is timed, but the only reference I had for it was on the PPT Main site (which is still down... darn that Blue for not working on it).
