I've got youth group kickoff tomorrow, with a 50% chance of severe storms all afternoon for our cookout and field day. The back-up plan is the school cafeteria and gym, which aren't ideal, but I'll make them work.

My week continues to cascade into smurf with one more bad thing after the other. On top of everything, dead battery in the car this morning. Decided to deal with after church. Driving the backup car back from church, the engine light in that car comes on. Oh joy.

On the plus side, the battery in car 1 was under full-replacement warranty with AAA. They just replaced it for freeeee. 2nd plus is that the check engine light was related to the catalytic bank 1 (which is awfully expensive). But, searching for the positive - Positive #1: it was not stolen. Positive #2: I reset the fault code and it has not come back on. Positive #3: It's a "minor" problem. Even if the check engine light comes back on, I can probably ignore it until next year when I need to get the car smog-checked. Trying to focus on the positive.

Just did the minimum dailies today. Glad I battled a couple of days ago. We actually avoided the rain today and had over 30 families (100+ people altogether) at the kickoff. My back is a little sore, but I bought a plan at a local chiropractor place for the next couple of months to get it sorted out. (combined with personal training myself, too... I really need to figure out a better personal schedule so I can get back to full ninja training)

I also need to schedule an omicron booster this week... maybe Wednesday afternoon? Then I'll finally have three mRNA shots and can relax at least a smidge, because that will cut my risk of long-haul COVID in half.
