Not everyone can keep every promise they make. And there is always more than one explaination of an event.
For example instead of TNT thinking "well we'd rather do the TCG game than any upcoming plot!"
they could have easily have signed up to make and ship the TCG expansion pack sometime last year, thought they could juggle a plot with the expansion pack, couldn't and had to ditch the plot because they couldn't back out of doing the TCG expansion pack.

Personally I'm very annoyed with all the TCG stuff and merchandise coming out that's taking their time away from the most important thing;the site. It's the reason the Sloth Plot was canceled and I wouldn't be surprised if it also played a part in the neoschools being canceled or put off.

Sorry about that :( Its a really long complicated situation... just believe me when I say that we had all the intention in the world to release Neoschools and the reasons why we cant are out of our hands and cant be mentioned on the web site.

Adam said it so it must be true... it must I tell you! Of course that isn't saying that he isn't embelishing a bit...

What an odd situation, though. I wonder what happened to make them pause it... and cap, you're right, I didn't think of that.. Certainly if they had already entered production with the cards, and realized they didn't have the time, they're not going to let the cards sit in a shed for six months.

i do not think that there is a need to replace the school supplies shop and stuff just because neoschool is shelved. wasn't it years ago when they planned to make it possible to dress your pets that they created uni clothings shop? maybe those school supplies may a use in the future as quest items.

Well I wonder exactly WHO told Adam to hold off on realeasing it. As far as I knew, he was pretty much in charge of site content. I didn't think Doug had that much influence...
As for the situation with the trading cards and the plot, that seems like what it is. If they are in a deal with Wizard, the fact that they are releasing an expansion every 2 months is most likely the result of that contract (what I'm trying to say is: they probably aren't making a new deal every toe months. They must've made just one deal that commited them to the one every 2 months).
The fact that they are advertising ON SITE by making a plot for the expansions is a great idea, because they can focus on the site and merchandising at the same time.
I find it very understandable that they over-estimated their ability to handle doing a plot for each expansion pack when making the contract with Wizard. They had to choose between doing the plot for ROS or going on with the next TCG and doing a plot for that, and they can't not do the next TCG or else they would be breaking their contract. I don't know why everyone is so upset by that.

Yes, exactly. Like I said before, I didn't really think it through in legal obligitory terms. But that's exactly what it is, and I certainly understand that.

Yeg
They should not always be working on those merchandising things, cause only people in the US (and UK, don't know) can have those things. Of course...

Ok lets think of a complete list of all of the things Neopets recently lied about/canceled.
1. "Return of Dr. Sloth" Plot
2. (maybe) NeoSchools
3. The Neopets Video Game for PS1
4. Disappearing PetPets/Jelly World Plot (what a put down)
5. I can reallycare less about the rest. I am going to sleep now.

1. They shouldn't advertise that they're going to do plots until they know for a fact that they're going to be able to do them. Even so, they should have delayed the Dr. Sloth plot, instead of completely cancelling it. I couldn't care less about a plot involving Hannah.
2. There is no excuse for this. Frankly, I don't buy the explanation, and think they're full of it. If it were true, they should have advertised on the news that the NeoSchools aren't going to happen.
3. They didn't lie. They just decided to make it for the PS2, which is what they should have done in the first place.
4. Meh. I always thought it was intended to be resolved at a later point, instead of aborted. Like maybe a second wave of disappearing pets, or something else destroying the rest of the green jelly later on....
5. Same here. (Except the going to sleep part)

i dont believe that TNT would neomail/email someone back a message like that, if they were going to announce once and for all that neoschools aren't going to happen they'd do it in the news or the editorial, or something like that. Especially since in an editorial a few weeks back donna said that neoschools were happening. i dont believe for one minute she would have said that if it weren't true, there would be no point in it, as she could have just ignored the question and picked another one.

*Fumes* Good thing I didn't stock up on supplies... I suspect a HUGE drop in price.

They finally admitted it?
Get to your shelters, people. The end is near. The great Nostradamus once predicted something about this. Anyone got that prediction?
(And no, it doesn't really exist. You silly, you.)
