Glad it wasn't a hard score. I really hate mbv...

My highscore is 960, I believe. AAA sucks at this game compared to me - and I'm no hardcore gamer. Isn't this guy supposed to be really, really good at games? o_O

For any gamers out there, any score would be a joke, as you would be able to score it, no matter what (or at least with minimal effort).

I have 42 trophies and I have worked hard for most of them - taking months or years of playing to get them. I feel I have accomplished something. I wonder for those 'gamers' out there who find all these challenges easy, if they find anything they do an accomplishment? o_O

I have made PBs on at least 4 of these games (some of my low scores are just laziness), but others required some hard hours of work.

Although I doubt I will make AAA's score tonight, you can damn well bet I will try my hardest to get it.

THAT is the challenge. Those people who can't play games have something to try for.
For those that can quite easily win, be happy that at least you get a free ride (or close to it).

Some of the scores have been ridiculously small considering the game - although I wont put anyone down for not being able to reach that score.

Here are some tips for those who struggle with this game. The other mynci plays better and better with each round, so it takes longer and longer to score against him, for fewer and fewer points. Note the point system: 50 points per round plus 10 points per gamepoint you scored higher than him if you win, and 5 points per gamepoint you score in your losing round. Really, you want to get the score in the first 2 to 3 rounds. So I would suggest starting over after the end of round 1 until you can beat him by at least 8 gamepoints (i.e., a score of 12 vs. 4) at the end of that round. That will give you 130 points. At that level, you should be able to win round 2 by about 4 gamepoints, giving you another 90 points (for a total of 220 points -- note that it doesn't tell you your total, so you have to keep it in your head). This means you'll have to score at least 6 gamepoints in level 3, which will be very difficult. However, after playing this game, levels 1 and 2 should be easier, allowing you to make the requisite score on your next play. So just practice on the easiest level until you get the hang of it.

About the powerups:
Try to get them as often as you can.

If you have superjump, you'll basically only be able to use jump on your final volley over the net, so just bounce it off your head until you're positioned right. Try to get another powerup asap because superjump really sucks.

If the turdle gets stuck on your side, just bite the bullet and step on him as soon as you hit it over. Even if you lose 1 point, he won't go away until you step on him. But he disappears fast. I found that when I was supersized and had to step on him, I pushed the right arrow key and managed to slide with him and get the ball over the net -- worth a shot for others.

When it's your turn to serve. Push to the right and jump at the last second (just before the end of the clouds in normal mode) -- in the first round, your opponent will fumble a lot right off your serve.

Hope these tips make the lightbulb chewing slightly easier.

Scraped in enough points in 3 rounds to get 265. :D Happy not to be chewing light bulbs!!

There are a couple of guides on Garmfays page for MBV - the 3rd on the list helped me. It shows you where to aim for. Aiming is the hard part, but it helped me a lot to know where I should be trying to get the ball.

I think with a little more patience and pratise, I could go for the avatar.......one day.

Woo Hoo! Another win over AAA. I was surprised the score to beat this game was so low. It was around my average. Though I do have a PB high of 465. I was worried the score would be higher seeing how the top three high scores are all over 1000.

I take advantage of the opposing Mynci when he gets Superjump. I aim the ball high and towards the back. He tends to jump for it then and almost always over jumps the thing or it drops short of the net while he's still hangin' high in the air. Good time to rack up a lot of points. I've also noticed that when the turdle comes to hug.. it hugs me longer than the other mynci, so I usually hit and hug him real quick and I'm usually ready for the next return. (ever notice if you're supersized - and the turdle comes to hug you - turdle gets supersized too). :P

If I get stuck with superjump... I try not to jump at all cost or I run right up to the ball and jump and hit it just as it's coming over the net my way.

I've never gotten past level 5... but I notice the sun keeps setting further and further. Has anyone seen them play by night? I've gotten as far as the stars beginning to appear.

The best advice I can offer for MBV is related to the inital serve. Stand near the claw-shaped section of dark sand, and jump to release the ball. Wait until very, very, very late to jump again to make the serve - you want the ball to hit your mynci's face, not its hands. By doing this, your serve is horizontal, not vertical, and has a higher chance of getting behind the red mynci.

sometimes I feel like i'm the only person ever who thinks most of the wearables are fugly. (it's probably my old school roots showing, amirite? ...also, every time I think about 'old school' I miss my old account with the cybunny and chomby from before they were LE)

is anyone else purposely challenging Abigail just to get the less obnoxious prizes? :P (s'what I did today! I think the only wearable I like so far is the green headband thingy. it matches the patchwork quilt cape from the advent calendar for a backyard super-hero look)

I agree with you - although I haven't challenged Abi yet. I think it's a pride thing so I can say "Hey, I beat AAA on the really tough hasee bounce game".

I think it's a bit unfair for those of us who don't get access to NC because I think Lulu's prizes are lot better than the others (ie, those faerie bubbles string lights).

Unfortunately there's not much we can do unless we get some kind neopians who will gift us with tickets.

*nudge nudge, wink wink, you know what I mean*

Sorry if someone already asked this (I only just skimmed the other pages), but is anyone else having problems getting certain games to load? When I try to load either Shenkuu Tangram, Mutant Graveyard, Spacerocked or Destruct-o-match, it never loads. I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems with these particular games. Thanks. I'd just like to be able to play those so I can attempt every game for the dare.

p.s. I've tried loading them in firefox, IE, and google chrome.

yeah...I'll find a decent avatar and sig later

That happens to me sometimes, some games load and some won't for whatever reason. I just clear my cache (browser history, temporary internet files, etc. - delete everything) and that makes everything work like a charm again.

Here's a link to a Neopets FAQ about this problem:

If all else fails, try to install Flash Player again from Adobe's website. Sometimes it helps.

Also, I'd like to say that I'm honestly not a "l33t" player at all. I'm the guy who gets shot 20 times for every 3 kills I make in Halo, and I even shot my friend (and me too, since it was a rocket launcher) once when we were cheering over a team kill.

I just find the fastest way to get to where I want to go and keep hammering at it until I get there. I won't say that everybody who isn't on my level sucks. Folks just seem to make these things harder on themselves than it has to be.

....

Okay, anybody who isn't on my level srsly sucks, because my level is like, the kid who picks up the light gun in the arcade and acts all smurf even though he hasn't put any quarters in the machine.

EDIT: Ooh, Snowmuncher.

Protip: TURN THE MUSIC OFF BEFORE IT DRIVES YOU INSANE

This wasn't a Double Dare was it? Because it said it gave me two prizes and it only gave me one. What is going on?
