I'm experiencing some major lag on Neopets. I know it's not my connection, cos PPT and other sites are as fast as normal.

I just missed out on some very rare and expensive items because of it and am not best pleased

I posted this exact message (Or something close) about 1 second ago! But yes it is VERY LAGGY

Yeah. Lagging for the last 30 mins or so, now it's speeding up lol

It really is bad - just frustrating and I think the 1/2 price day part enters into it a bit - but not enough to drag it down this much!

i don't think the earlier 30 min lag spike was due entirely to half-price day.
i don't think the server was suddenly overloaded for just 30 min. i have heard that autobuyers eat up lotsa bandwidth but i can't verify if it's true.

I was also experience MAJOR lag.. good thing I didn't miss out on too much.

I've been getting lag like that for at least the last couple of weeks, at least once a day for between 30 minutes and an hour, then it will slowly come back to "normal".

Half price day I tend to just go on the site to feed my pets, get my interest, maybe play a few games, lab and then I leave. It is, for me anyway (dial up maybe?) always slower on the 3rd of the month.

If half price day falls on a weekend? I don't bother logging in at all, it's that slow.

Why is it, when I need to do something quickly, it always lags? lol
Like now

-shrugs- I got up early to get some easy 1/2 price stuff. I'm 8hours+of NST so I get up at 7am for some easy stocking on 1/2 price day while US sleeps.
