Done anything cool/funny/weird that you're sure no one else has? Let's hear it!

1. Won an antique car.
A 1980s Triumph Spitfire. A red one. And the funny thing is, my parents and I had only bought one ticket, while my dad's boss bought like, twelve. He.. wasn't exactly happy.

2. Gotten locked out of school , ran halfway around the building, and arrived in class a good couple of minutes late (without a pass, of course)--without getting in trouble.
I'd rather not talk about this. *whistles innocently*

3. Seen a mouse run through OfficeMax.
I AM SORRY, BUT MICE DO NOT BELONG IN OFFICEMAX. PERIOD.

I may or may not have been more freaked out by the cashier who was ringing me up at the time. She just kind of stared in the general direction of the thing and muttered "that better not come over here".

4. Been told by a police officer to delete a picture off of my camera.

Apparently you're not allowed to take pictures in certain malls? At first I thought he was joking--and to make things more interesting, I heard his co-worker whisper"good job" to him on our way out.

5. Taken an art class at RISD.
Why yes, I have. I think I mentioned this here before.

6. Ordered the Teriyaki Chicken at the Cheesecake Factory 8 out of 10 times I've been there.
To make this more effective--I've been there waaaaay more than ten times.

7. Written a magazine about anime for an English assignment.
Because I'm just that awesome. Or nerdy, take your pick.

8. Made the connection between Lucky*Star and Pushing Daisies.

I might be one of...I don't know, THREE people in the world who could.
It's cherry pie, by the way.

9. Used the word "quern" in a game of Scrabble.

67 POINTS. I think that may just be the winningest word in Scrabble history ever, if only because it's never been used in a game of Scrabble before.

10. Gone on a photo-op at the New England Horticultural Society's Annual Flower and Garden Show.
In fact, I've done this every year for the past three years. Seriously, if you ever need a good stock photo of an orchid, just give me a ring.

BONUS: Fed homeless people on the streets of Providence.
This was a really amazing day. Some of the people I met had nothing--literally, nothing except a bench at the train station--and yet they still have the will to keep going. It really changed how I look at things, and I'm hoping I'll get to do it again this year.

Somethings I did that you probably haven't done
1. Made up the name Xaidread by anagraming up an existing name. :)
2. Turned a broken shopping bag into a fake shirt.
3. Use Lysol to kill insects.
4. Became a fan of Kingdom Hearts without actually playing the game.
5. Cut myself in the foot with my other foot (that was a bit pathetic...)
6. Shredded/cut a bunch of clean tissues into small bits and put them in a jar.
7. Keep stray plastic chain links that originated from the daycare center I was at long, long ago.
8. Gave myself a self-induced sugar rush (with no sugar or anything. Just add boredom)
9. Play the game Beast Signer (Play at your own risk; laggy moments and in Alpha)
10. Took a five-hour "nap" (it was intended as a nap, I just over napped.)

Thinking of stuff like this is a bit hard.

Fun.
1. Dyed my hair nine different colors.
This count may be off--I've done a LOT of personal dye jobs. I've also got two new colors sitting in my room waiting for me to be able to dye my hair again.
2. Played an opposite-gender character half my age onstage.
3. Memorized the lyrics of every song in Cats.
4. Called my high school principal stupid to his face.

I do NOT recommend this.
5. Woken up convinced my room was the command deck of a starship.
6. Been dead in a dream.

Normally, you wake up before/as you die. This was a dream that consisted entirely of being dead.
7. Had myself drawn into a webcomic.
8. Gotten a haircut at school by a classmate.
9. Weighed less as an adult than my dog.

The dog was overweight at about 115 lbs; I am slightly underweight at 95 lbs.
10. Received two days of in-school suspension for an untucked shirt.
Technically, I got four days for untucked shirts. But only one citation caused me to get two full days of ISS for a shirt left untucked.

Byakuya, you're right, I haven't done any of those.
Xaidread, I actually have

Moongewl, I have

6. Been dead in a dream.

I actually died in the dream -- you're supposed to wake up just before you actually die, but I dreamed I was stabbed in the head, really felt it, and actually died before I woke up. It was kind of creepy.

Let's see.
1. Stepped on a fishing hook while trying to rinse it off in the ocean right after my dad warned me not to accidentally step on it while I was cleaning it.
2. Leapt out of bed (literally from a horizontal position) and woke myself up when I landed on my hands and feet crouched on the floor -- if I tried to do it awake, I'd probably kill myself -- I think I was dreaming I was some kind of animal. It totally freaked my cat out.
3. Performed Irish stepdancing in front of audiences of 500+.
4. Attended an Irish language immersion week in Woppinger Falls, NY.
5. Had two lateral releases on my left knee spaced 9 years apart.
6. Won a trophy for running the most kilometers for my grade 4/5 years of elementary school.
7. Kissed the Blarney Stone.
8. Had rumors spread that I beat someone up just because I stared her down and told her she wasn't worth getting suspended over -- she was digging her nails into my wrist, and when she saw that she was drawing blood and I didn't even flinch, she fled!
9. Swam in the ocean the day after Christmas (during winter).
10. Had my car throw a rod, leaving me stranded on the side of the highway -- on the way to my brother's graduation, after my dad had warned me I should leave early enough to attend said graduation such that if my car were to break down on the way, someone in the family would have enough time to pick me up and get us back to graduation no matter where said breakdown occurred... (seriously, could my dad just stop warning me about stuff?)

Fun poll, Byakuya!

What kind of school do you go to? I've never heard of that rule before. Sounds a bit... much to me.

Dress code violations at my middle school had the following consequences:
First time--verbal warning
Second time--one day of in-school suspension
Third time--two days of in-school suspension
Fourth time--one day suspended from school
Fifth time and up--suspended from school for one more day than the previous time
It was supposed to keep us from being able to carry weapons. Except we were allowed to bring backpacks into the school, and wear pants with absolutely enormous pockets, and wear sweatshirts....Yeah. My middle school was run by absolute morons.

I know a person through the internet whose middle school doesn't allow backpacks, only binders and lockers are available only to band people (but they're too small for some stuff, anyway.) It seems like some to most of the people who run schools don't really know how to run them at all.

1: Took 7 years to earn a 4 year degree. Three years at one school and four at another. And I didn't change my major once! (I damn well better graduate in Spring.)
2: Gotten a D in a class and have been proud of it. That mean I don't have to take that class again. (I have enough upper division labs to cover myself.) I even brag how that is my second proudest grade. The top is my first upper division grades above a C.
3: Almost 25 and still dateless. So all of you people that have had at least one relationship, even if it was a bad one... I hate you.
4: Walked across about 1/3 of Kyoto in one day. It was hot. I spent more money on drinks than on food that day. I only rode a vehicle on the train to the area I walked across and away from the area about 12 hr later. On the plus side, none of my clothes fit after that day. PS: I had a backpack with me the whole time.
5: Missed only 2 days of school in the past 7 yr. Once to illness and the other time due to my late grandfather being in the hospital and being depressed about his condition.
6: Haven't seen my brother in over 7 yr. Not since the day before I moved to SLO to go to school.
7: Stepped foot in any church once in.... about 18 yrs. My brothers wedding was the first and only time since First Communion. It was very uncomfortable since it felt like the priest was trying to convert me... both times.
8: Cussed out a teacher and got away with it. I was a week ahead of the rest of the class (as were a few of my friends) and were just screwing around one day. The teacher confronted us about it. I, in no uncertain terms, told him that we were done with everything and we should get a new assignment or he should shut up (or something to that effect). He backed off and we got a new assignment a couple days later.
9: Essentially bought a new computer four years in a row. Lost two to fried HDs and had to have them repaired. Bought a new one. Then bought my MacBook Pro. So far this year the curse has been broken, but I did need to take my desktop in to get cleaned far better than I could ever do.
10: Locked myself in my room for a week. I was very depressed. I even slammed my door in my dad's face because he laughed at me at one point. I could have gone hikikomori at that time. I repeated the process a few months later too.

Well, those are my 10. I tried picking ones that didn't make me sound like too big of a loser (except #3).

....Me!!! It got me laughed at too.

1. Ate a Chicken Quesadilla from Taco Bell every day for over a week.
Taco Bell's the fastest place to go when you only have 35 minutes for school in a town full of older people.

2. THOUGHT that the sliding glass door was closed and fell through it
I thought it was closed, so when I was running to it I put my hands up to open it....needless to say I fell straight through.

3. Locked my keys in my car, at a gas station, after never letting my friend forget about locking her keys in the car.

4. Told a friend that it didnt matter if we were the only two stranded in a desert and he was dying and suffering that I would not shoot him

5. Stepped on a colorguard pole while sliding, and managed to stay standing even though it rolled under my foot

6. Walked into my own car, then blamed it for being in the way because my friend laughed at me

7. Miraculously managed to be inbewteen three pieces of a tuner when it was thrown.

8. Talked back to/argued with a drum major/or band captain and got away with it

9. Been Chased by and threatened by Squirrels

10. Went to Busch Gardens and only rode ONE ride.

wow...mine are pretty lame.

Hmmm...

1. Took a ride on a mail van in China
Was in Shanghai on 1.5 months internship and the firm I was posted to had business with the mail office. Clients gave us a ride back to office in a mail van :P, I also got a ride in a hotel stretch limo cause the firm also has business with this Hotel, but that more likely to happen then the mail van ride.

2.Played the role of mother in my teens to a guy 10 yrs older then me during a school play
We were doing a play to raise $ for something and the guy was someone from our local TV station who was guest starring. And he was so much taller then me too. I was so sure all my friends would die laughing.

3.Being mistaken for a 18 yr old at the age of 28
Just to make No. 2 look more interesting...recently I got stopped by a security guard asking for my age and had my ID checked as I was trying to cut across a hotel casino (i.e. He thought I was 18 or under). With my friends standing below and cheering too.

4. Been involved in 2 seperate car accidents by the time I was 19
No, I was not driving :P. 1st time I was riding a cab. 2nd time I was crossing the road.

5. Won the school story telling competition 5 years in a row
In primary school, we more or less had the same contestants every year.

6. Walked around with a table from the local coffee shop
We had to borrow it for a play. Took 4 of us to carry it across the road and back to school.

7. Got chased by crows
Man, people get chased by flamingos and emus, I get crows. I demand that the next bird that chases me be a peacock!

8. Ate the same thing for breakfast for more then a year
When I was 6 yrs old I was obessed with rice cakes topped with salted radish from a particular stall. I HAD to have it every morning. My grandmother got into the habit on reserving a packet with the stallowner. When I went marketing with her in the morning, she just goes to the back of the stall and taps a board, and they would hand it to her without her having to place an order :P.

9. Caught a cockcroach with hairspray
It appeared all of a sudden and nearest thing I could reach was a can of hair spray. So I sprayed, it sort of sent into slow motion and then froze when it "set".

10. Did the YMCA dance on stage at the Company Dinner and Dance
Don't ask.

Fun thread

If truth if knowledge, knowledge is power, and power corrupts, then are the liars in the world really the good guys?
