HOH Competition #5 Results

In this competition, Houseguest's were asked to solve a variety of riddles. The Houseguest with the most riddles correct would win HOH.

The Results

There are four girls, and four apples in a basket. Every girl takes an apple, Yet one apple remains in the basket. How is this possible?

One girl took the basket which contained the last apple.

A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?

The woman was a photographer. She shot a picture of her husband, developed it, and hung it up to dry.

A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis:
The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.
The Butler was cleaning the closet.

The police instantly arrested the murdered. Who did it and how did they know?

There is no mail on Sunday (e-mails and day air do not count).

Jack went fishing last weekend and had a number of fish. He had 6 fish without heads, 9 without tails and 8 cut in halves. How many fish did he have?

None.

A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."

The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

The man did exactly as he said he would and wrote "your exact weight" on the paper.

I think it means how many whole fishes there are. I was kind of stupid enough to piece the fishes together.

My logic for the fish one was so bad, and I still don't get it xD I was thinking that fish don't have tails, so there must be 9 fish.

"Everyone, please go to the nomination table, it's time for us to reveal my nominations," instructed WIS as he ran up to his HOH room to retrieve something.

The houseguest's assembled at the table, waiting anxiously, who would be nominated and why? WIS came down with a marble block in his grasp; it was circular and contained 12 slots, 5 of which were filled with keys.

"It's getting harder and harder to nominate people, so I decided to use my nominations to make this game a little more interesting," WIS paused, "So the first person safe is Crazy,"

Crazy nodded his head as WIS spun the small table which the block was on towards him. Crazy picked up his key and hung it around his neck.

"Hansy, you are safe," he said as he drew Hansy's key from the block.

Hansy nodded his head as Crazy spun the small table which the block was on towards him. Hansy picked up his key and hung it around his neck.

"May, you are safe," he said as he drew May's key from the block.

May nodded her head as Hansy spun the small table which the block was on towards her. May picked up her key and hung it around her neck.

"Regan, you are safe," she said as she drew Regan's key from the block.

Regan nodded her head as May spun the small table which the block was on towards her. Regan picked up her key and hung it around her neck.

"Susannahmio, you are safe," she said as she drew Susannahmio's key from the block.

Susannahmio nodded her head as Regan spun the small table which the block was on towards her. Susannahmio picked his key and hung it around her neck.

The only two houseguest's left without a key were Laryxler and John.

"I nominated both of you because you two are very strong competitors. And I wanted to nominate you two to stir things up a little, instead of nominating people for inactivity. Good luck to both of you in the power of veto! This meeting is adjourned,"

The rest of the houseguest's stood up from the table and began to hug one another. Which Houseguest will win the Power of Veto and will they use it to save either Laryxler or John?
