Not sure if this is more suited to the computing/technology thread, but here goes. Just out of curiosity, what OS do you use in your computer? Feel free to go into the specifics, but do avoid trollbait/flamebait or outright trolling/flaming (read: no "I use Y because it is way better than Z which sucks" ) yes this is in the rules but I feel it has to be reiterated.

Windows means everything from 3.1 to Vista (95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, NT, XP...); same thing for each 'umbrella' category. "Other" covers BSD/Unix/DOS. If you happen to dual/triple boot, select the one you use the most will stop geeking out now.

I use Linux- Ubuntu 8.04

Using Vista.
(64 bit, and I updated to System Pack 2 if I remember correctly)

Other since I use both XP and Leopard on two different machines.

I primarily use XP - SP2 both at home and work.
But as we have 4 other machines at home....
My husband's main home machine is (currently) running XP SP3, mainly so he can actually play games. (His work laptop though is running Linux, though.) Our server machine runs on Ubuntu. Pretty sure our realllllly old laptop is running some older version of Linux, but since it hasn't been turned on in ages...
I'm planning on actually rebuilding the extra machine we have laying around with some form of Linux so I can actually learn how to use it and set it up as a mock server.

...we have too many computers for our own good.

Win XP, service pack 1. I have no interest in upgrading further at the moment.

Windows.. er, XP, I'm guessing.

Mac OSX. That is all I know.

I'm currently using Leopard (Mac OS X), but I'd like to install some version of Windows as well so I can play games like Maple Story.

XP. I like it. It makes sense and is not decorated with lots of useless stuff on the desktop--I have an inexplicable dislike for desktop widgets.

I have vista...and let me tell you, If I had to deceide between vista and a hole in my head...Id take the hole.

I love my Vista. It's been a huge improvement from XP. I love the look, the feel, and the performance of it. I have several gadgets in my sidebar (including a countdown to graduation in 218 days ). I'm sorry for people who have had problems with Vista, but that hasn't been my experience at all.

I'm biased from a computer support point of view. Vista is quite much a pain in that sense. It's also harder to find some settings, etc, as they've changed where they're located. I dread the day we fully upgrade...
Of course, whenever I'm on XP machines, I always go back to classic view, as I think the XP view seems overly bubbly and fruity.

Windows XP for me.
