Heh.. tis kinda similar with me... checked around 9pm.. down.. started up just recently.. still down... ah well, off to other things.

Val!! Welcome back! Oh I'm not in Texas, but we've been having tons of rain, very hot (I'd be frozen on the spot for typing that on Neo!) and humid - in the 90's with 80 to 100% humidity, I finally broke down and bought an air conditioner for my living room yesterday. My roommate, who doesn't get Neo and why I put up with it, was sitting here once and saw your siggy. She cracked up!
Neo's still down?!
Geez, what did they do, turn the air conditioning off in the computer room and fry the servers? I don't know if the neocam being dark means anything, where work is (hopefully) being done is probably somewhere else in the building.
Oh I remember when it was down for a couple of days, everyone was going buggy.
The worst part for me is not for me -- it's for my friend who plays on my computer. She usually comes over and spends the weekend (yea for guestroom!) and maybe once during the week after work. So her time is kind of limited and she (thanks to me
) is totally into Neo and her pets. She's sitting here looking kind of mournful worrying about her pets and wondering if all the np she got from games last night (and her bank account/gallery) is still there. She also gives me someone to talk to about it, my roommate's eyes glaze over if I try to talk about it to her.
Youth oriented...Why can't they just say family oriented? There are alot of us adults on the site! Who ends up taking the kids to Micky D's or Limited Too or wherever to buy all the Neo stuff? And ends up buying things for themselves...
But yeah, reading back, many of us adults are kind of loners. Amazes me how many people have never heard of the site. I had to explain the site to a store manager when I went to buy the mini petpet plushies (looked at me like I was completely nuts).
Well, I just hope when the site comes back up that all our stuff is there and things are actually fixed. Don't care about any new features, or even game resets at this point. Just want things to work right without constant lags, glitches, autobots going wacky and warning/freezing people for things they haven't done.
Guess I'll go get some graphics and documents saved on disks, may as well use the time to back up everything on the computer. If this was a weekday and Neo was down this long I'd be trudging to the computer shop to have a new modem put in (needs it) and have Sylvia (my computer) looked at in general. For some bizarre reason I have 4 svchost.exe on there, and I don't think they're all valid...computer dumb I am!

Eck, 11.47PM and I have class at 10.30AM tomorrow, I think I'm going to wander off to bed, I'll be there for 9 hours or somewhere there abouts so Neo better be back online when I get up because 9 hours in addition to the large amount of hours the site has already been down is a reeeeally long time!

Neo being down has given me too much time to play Mootix Drop and now I'm afraid I'll dislike Mootix Drop after this! And Mooitx Drop is like the only game I like on Neo.

i see everybody has just woken up......so Good Morning......over where i'm from(Singapore)......neopets have been down since i think morning abt maybe 11...not very sure and its now 11.50pm........why did this have to happen on sunday.....why........help me i'm lost and don't know wat to do....signs of a neopets addict.........

the day has been lost like that.........since hearing about all the problems/glitches on Neopets......i'm worried for my Mazzew yoyo(est price 2mil).....first real million dollar item i ever had.......

I have a completely clean (and brand new) system, and I have 4 instances of that running. Probably nothing malicious there, but for piece of mind I'd get it checked anyways. I got a virus on my old system that caused svchost to run 12 times. :-/
The downtime is getting really tedious. My favorite baseball player was traded yesterday, and all I'm doing is sitting here reading articles about it and trying not to get choked up. I will get so much flak if I start crying because of that...
I really do hope it comes back soon, but with every hour that passes, my hopes of it being back up before Monday are diminishing.
