I'm glad in some ways I get to try Roothless again, and in other ways completely dreading it. But MvF should be easy enough to finish when I get home.
Cookie, maybe your e-mail address registered with TNT is no longer valid and you need to change it
here.

Does it make a difference if you use AAA instead of Abigail to beat the Roothless Challenge? In terms of gameplay, that is. Does it make your game more difficult?

Still no response about my score send in issue, about to try the game again. >.< If I finish it and send the score in, and it still doesn't work... there will be screams.
Edit: Right! 30 minutes later I finish it and send my score in again. And it counts this time! I beat it on Abigail, but at least I beat it.

I finally did it! I spent a lot of yesterday trying to, spent about an hour today and managed it XD
I did it on Abigail too, I think as long as you get 5000 points it'll be fine.

Wow, they actually made AAA's score significantly higher this year (by 500 points). Still gonna be an easy game for me, though. I've watched my husband play it waaaaaay too many times.
I am hoping that they give us until the actual end of the day - and not when the news goes up - to complete everything. If they shut everything off when the news goes up, I'll be so mad, it won't be funny - as it normally goes up while I am commuting home, and I won't be able to try it until I get home.
Can anyone remember if they gave us the full day last year? Edit: Oh, wait. It was a Saturday last year. So there was no news. {hopes they're reasonable this year}

That would explain a lot of things.

I used AAA, and it actually showed up as a win against AAA. (I had 31/31 last night once I beat DD). So it might actually matter which one you use.

Okay, I managed a 3000+ score on MvF, so not only did I beat AAA but I also got the avatar! Cool! That brings my tally to 8AAA/23Abi. I have to echo others and say to those who managed the 31AAA/0Abi, big honking kudos to you all. I am insanely envious of your skill.
Now, let me try DD again, and see if I can beat this thing once and for all. Thank Fyora that today is a holiday in my country, or else I'd have no time to spend on this. I can't really believe that this is what I am using my holiday for, but hopefully I can finish this quickly [crosses fingers] and hit the beach.

Do you have an email address set in your account information (
http://www.neopets.com/email_change.phtml )? Maybe it's looking there. If so, that error message is pretty lousy--it should include information on where to set the address.
cookiemunster wrote:BTW, dungeon dash IS on the list of games there. (Right above hot dog hero)
Maybe the dropdown was glitching for me--I saw Hot Dog Hero listed three times, but no Dungeon Dash.

SUCCESS!!!!
Finally!!
YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!!
Beat DD finally. Again, the tips on SS were invaluable. I still only managed to get past ICM with only one life, but the tips made the difference. Thanks mucho mucho! To all those still trying, keep it up. I nearly gave up twice already for the morning, but I figured if I kept at it, I'd get the hang of it. Trust me, patience and persistence will get you thru.
I'm gonna get something to eat...I'm starving.

It does make a difference. Say for example, Abigail can run up the steep slopes in the Turmac Roll level, but AAA can't.

Aww, soo close! You can do it!!! {huggles}

Wait I'm confused, what do you use for the spikes in SS? I've tried springing over them, but I just land in them, and I've tried bubbling through them, but it just makes me bounce. And on each bounce I lose a life. Halp?
Best score so far though, 4240 :/ Nowhere near the end of the level though.

OMG, I've played DD yesterday for an hour or so and decided I'd give up since:
a) the game is laggy, buggy and just plain stupid
b) I've already sent a non-winning score
Today I'm like "well, since it's still available I might give it a try a couple of times"... and I've beaten it on the first try!
AND it registered my score! I'm *this* close to saying "I love that game!". (Not really, but you get my point.)
A quick question: I've completed all the challenges on the day they were realesed, but claimed two prizes after a couple of days due to a bug: does that mean I'm in for the Uberriffic or only Spiffastic?
Mon Mar 31, 2008 3:03 pm
Woot! I just finished MvF (twice, because the first time I forgot to challenge AAA -- got the avvie the second time), so I'm 31/31 for MegaSuperb (excepting the Roothless mega-challenge). Now back to it.
Metalmario, I was told to bubble over it, but I died at 4996 doing that. Others have hit the crate with the shovel, which destroys the spikes. You have to constantly hit the bubble for it to work, but it doesn't always work 100% of the time. Hope this gets you there.
[leaves to go play DD a few times]

[munching breakfast sandwich] Hit the bubble, it jumps you up, then hit it again as you are landing. It worked for me...
