ps tell me if its legal to put on the site i dont wanna start a fuss

That was what the decoder was. It was a script (program) that was on a site and you followed the links, input your information, then gave you the solution. That is against the rules. As TNT said:
TNT wrote:Please note that using any kind of external helper program or cheat program to solve this puzzle is a violation of the Neopets Terms and Conditions and your account will be FROZEN if you are found to be using them! So do the right thing and solve the puzzle yourself! (Discussions with friends and the use of reference charts is perfectly okay.)

Well it was sorta a calculator. I mean, you input numbers and it gave you answers which technically made it a calculator but we can still call it a decoder. ;)

Even if the site claimed it was "undetectable" (and I personally doubt that Neopets can catch people anyways unless they publicly admit it on the Neoboards...) it's a "use at your own risk thing." I do believe that PPT removed the links to the original calculator because of the fact it was against the rules and PPT does not condone cheating in anyway.

I can't believe we didnt get a step for the weekend and i'm really wanting something to do now.

And donut i wouldnt go around saying you used the program because i think many people who posted on the neoboards that they used it (or prehaps where posting the offsite link) where frozen.

Chalk it up to not knowing better and leave it on the downlow. just a friendly warning :)

I agree. But for those who haven't finished step 2 yet, I'm sure the extra time was well welcomed.

Step two took me almost a week to do. I don't have time to sit for hours on end trying to figure out each code... Honestly though, I just have awful luck! I used the reference charts and for each email I ended up doing the last combination of codes that worked. I had to do all of the codes except for one  I wish that the steps would be challenging--not a test of my patience (referring to step two).

I felt like a yoyo in avoiding the guards back and fourth till I got rid of them all. I got sick of that wailing siren every time I made a mistake because it got harder to keep track of where they were as the levels got bigger.

Well, since we've gone for a WEEK without new steps, I'm guessing that there's going to be another step released soon. It better NOT be another tedious task this time. A lot of us almost GAVE UP when we had to decode those messages.

I guess I'm in the middle because, while I don't like how they're childising and kiddyising (Yes, they are spelt with an S, not a Z [zed] [/off topic rant]) the site, I really am finding these difficult. Rawr, again.
Maybe I should just skip those plot.
But I don't wanna! It seems really intricate! o_O
*dilemma*

Just keep trying. You'll be able to do it. :)

And now childizing is officially a word because someone has Britishized it. :P

The amazing Daze showed me her guide, and now I'm less clueless, w00t!
Britishised. *bites*
*is working through 3-mods*
I do hope the next part isn't as tedious.

is there anywhere on the site that produces strings of codestones, or strings of numbers?

Yes in the game graveyard. Codebreakers. :) I liked that game a lot better than its replacement. Time Tunnel has too many bells and whistles, Codebreakers was more straightforward. There are only four codestones per code, but they come in six colors, each corresponding to a different codestone. I wasn't around for the ealier space station plot, did the game come out as a tie-in?

On a side note, it's amazing to me how many people on the neopets site have named their accounts or pets cdplayer, cd_player, compactdisc, etc. I really thought that cd in the comic was a hint that we should be looking for a way to play it, but noone has come up with anything, so apparently we have to wait for a step to be released.

Isn't the that Techo-shaped mountain, where you throw in codestones and it makes red codestones? Dosen't that give you a random list of codestones to throw in? o_O

I got my step 2 done today, and was thrilled to get into third step, but it soon appeared to be too easy :P I kinda was hoping that this would be a looooong plot. Any opinions on that? At least the comic seems to go fast forward..
