I am thinking about doing it to get the Honey Potion but i want to gauge if doing the quest is cheaper or just buying one.

So, for those who got that far, about how meny neopoints did it take to get to level 35?

I was going to answer, but then I realized I'm only at level 31! I know that thus far I probably spent far less than 200k (I'd guess my average was substantially under 5000, and only two of them were greater than 10k (but both under 50k) -- one two levels before the avvie, and the one for the leaf shield. Of course, I'm sure the next 5 will be a lot more expensive, so it could easily get pushed above the 1 million mark. I think I'm going to go for it though, since what I've already spent is gone either way.

I tried twice and didnt make it to level 35 because she asked for an item costing more than the honey potion.

This time around, less than 200k (quest 35 was only 2,100 for me!). The most expensive levels were 30, 31, 32, and 33.

Just remember, it might be cheaper to do to 35 once or twice than buy outright, but no guarantee you will finish 35 on your first try. And obv multiple attempts will likely end up costing more ^^

Ditto. I've tried Illusen and Jhudora both, more for the achievement than for the items, but I got stalled out on unbuyables I didn't have--and she can also ask for items that were never released to the users.

Well, it cost me 200K to get to I-34, then I was asked for a Breebly a week before they were released

Arrgh. I was at quest 35, having only spent about ~50k more (so 250k total thus far) to get there, when I was asked for a chokato toffee apple (which was going for about 500k, so it would have still been worth it). I was on the quest and TP boards, and I bid on every trade available (good thing I had all those NP from the Adam avatar), but unfortunately, my time ran out! I'm not sure I want to try again.

thank you everyone who answered. now that the plot has ended, i have a little more time to weigh the pro's and cons. perhaps now the price for honey potion will decrease a little (...or not).
