Random Event Locations

You can get REs anywhere, however, you cna only get certain ones in specific places.

You can get special winter random events in terror mountain, and special tyrannian ones, but apart from that it's random. Your more likely to getone playing a game that refreshes often. I get loads whilst playing Scarab 21, for example, and many people get lots whilst playing NQI or II

I also got a lot of random events in the "Shops" page, in neopia central (these include electric blue pb [which I sold for 11k =_= they were so cheap] and a brown pb which I used on my chia)
And I think you cannot get any random events on the lab3.phtml page

actually, you can get a radom event at the trading post. That's how my dark battle duck got zapped by dr. sloth.

I used to get some when I was on the explore map, but it seems that I can't get no more. I shoul ddonate to the money tre.. Im too lazy.

As far as I know, you can't get them in User Shops and Pet Pages. I know you can get them on User Lookups and I'm pretty sure you can get them on Pet Lookups.

Terror Mountain is probably the best place for random events, as others have said before. My brother got a Christmas Paint Brush there.

I have never seen a RE while in someone's shop, but I have gotten hit with an RE on the shop wiz page more than once: a petpet ate one of the foods in my inventory, the tax beast took 10% of my nps, those naughty ghosts have stolen nps from me, and the pant devil has taken an item or two.

I used to get lots of random events. It's been a long time since I got one. I can't even remember what the last one I got was, but I think it was one where someone says hi or you see a draik or a blumaroo. The last thing I found through a random even was..I don't remember..it's been a long time. I wonder if it is just my bad luck or what. I think neopets is just about cutting the random events out.

I never get REs on the shop wiz when I am searching.. unless you mean the shop wiz main page..

I also never get REs when I am restocking in the neopian shops(UB the shop.. I have gotten some when I am heading tp the shops via marketplace etc..)

Trading posts do give REs.. I got my zytch stolen once

I love how when you get a RE on your own or someone else's lookup, the RE is coded so that it matches the lookup's html - I've seen some really pretty REs on people's lookups, hehe. I know they didn't intentionally make it do that but it's a nice side effect of html

I have gotten the bird twice--and I don't battle (my battle-happy daughter almost cried when she saw it). I was going to the trading post on both occasions.

Even if it doesn't work, 10 nps a day is worth the gamble. And, besides, it gives me a chance to go into people's shops and snoop around for bargains. Because if they are pricing a poisonous lollypop or Jhudoras brush for 1 np, they might be underpricing other things as well. And the bargains I have found doing this!!!!! Just today, on my hunt for a poisonous lollypop, I found a shop that also had tyrannian pb priced for 99,999--which can then be resold for about 225-250K.

So, I will continue doing it regardless of anyone's theory to disprove it. It seems to work for me.

I don't know if it is true or not--some people think so, some people think not.
