1000 in Santas Sleigh? That'll take me a while
Anyone have some tips on Santas Sleigh and Attack of the Revenge?
For Attack of the Revenge, after the second level, try to constantly keep a cannonball in your hand. Once you load it in a cannon or bop a pirate with it, quickly grab another one. If you're on the side of the screen opposite the cannonballs, and some pirates pop up on the way, just dispatch them with the sword as you go. I generally ignore the water bucket, for some reason trying to get it messes me up.
In most cases, at the very beginning of each level, there will be a second or two before the pirates actually start popping up. Use this time to load all three cannons quickly: that way you only have to worry about loading one at a time. Also, if you can end a level with a cannonball in your hand, when the next level begins, you'll still have it! Use this to your advantage! =)
Letting the cannons burn down is an okay strategy for getting through your toughest level, but it's not without its drawbacks. You can only do it once. Three of your lives get burned up too. And the animation of the flames is distracting (at least it is to me). I actually prefer not to use it.
While I don't know if it actually helps with gameplay, I usually shake my hands around before and after playing this game. Otherwise my fingers tense up and feel uncomfortable.
It's been a long long time since I've played this, and it shows - I used to be able to score from 1700-1999 pretty consistently, with an occasional score of over 2000. But today, I just sent a paltry 1568.
