I noticed there wasn't a thread about customization yet, so I decided to make one. This is where you can post pictures of your customized pets for other people to see, rate each others pets, ask for suggestions etc. (This thread isn't to discuss whether you like customization or not, there's another thread for that in the poll section)

I'll start off. I recently painted Bindiya desert with a royal outfit. I'm still saving up for a shenkuu parasol, but does anyone have a suggestion for a foreground item that would suit her?

Cute pet =) When you asked about a foreground item, I'll assume you are talking about one of the trinket-like items that sit next to your pet. In this case, Lucky Pandaphant Doll is the only one of the three foreground items I know of (that aren't from the NC mall) that would even be close to matching your pet. I pasted a pic of the doll next to your pet in Paint just to see how it looked, and it looked okay... that's all I can suggest though. XD I'm not a customization expert.



And this is my pet. No amusing items on her, seeing as veggie chias cant wear clothes, but I found it amusing that she is so happy while standing in a cave made of dung.

Yeah, fructy, maybe it's cliche, but I think the Lucky Pandaphant Doll would be a nice match.

The Pandaphant doll is nice. I was also thinking about an anubis fountain, it would go with the neogarden background, but is still really expensive. I saw one in the pottery shop, but it sold out so fast I didn't even get to haggle on it.



I like the dung cave background too. It does look amusing on your pet.

She's been entered into the customisation spotlight the last couple of weeks, but seeing as the results for the first week aren't out yet I haven't decided whether to include her in the next round of voting or not..

It's pretty easy. I'll give you some step by step instructions

1. Looking at the image you'd like to save, press "Prnt Scrn".
2. Open an image program like Paint.
3. Press "Ctrl" + "V" to paste your screenshot into Paint.
4. Crop the image to how you'd like it (We like things here to be less than 500 pixels wide...you can check that by going to "Image" and then "Attributes".)
5. Save the image as either a .JPG, .GIF, or .PNG.
6. Go to a free image website, such as photobucket.com and upload your saved image.
7. Post on the forums

I like the little story you wrote about her. Too bad we can't write a few lines for the customization spotlight. I would be nice if we'd be able to tell how we customized our pet (what paint brushes, items they're wearing) and a little about their character. People dress their pets according to their character and if you'd be able to write something about their character, people would understand better why a certain pet wears certain things.

Too bad there are only three winners though. I was hoping they'd do species winners (like in the beauty contest) or maybe runner up medals for the first 4 to 10 pets.

Eh. I have mixed feelings about the results. All three pets are very expensive colors and all three pets are wearing species specific clothes (mainly). Pets that haven't had pet days are obviously at a disadvantage here as are pets that have had their days and got crap. IMO, this whole thing sorta goes against what I believe customization was supposed to be about in the first place.

I understand that they want each species to have their own unique item, but I really think that they should have pumped the market full of items that work for all species. I mean, sure it's a lot of work, but if they can do it for the NC mall, then why not for the general neopian population? If anything from voting in the contest, I see how little creativity is possible. You see the same pets wearing the same clothes with the same backgrounds. If people actually had options, maybe there could be some nice looking pets.

I'm just frustrated by the lack of sense.

Gee those cards cost quite a bit of money. 10 dollars for 1000 neocash and 25 for 2500. Well I guess that is about right, but I don't think I'll be spending that, unless they release something that knocks my socks off and that I just have to have, which I doubt.

This is the only pet I really bothered to customize. Shes a Sloth minion I kept the old style look of my other two, and my last pet is always being zapped into something else. I entered my Shoyru into the spotlight, but who knows how receptive voters are of the Mall stuff. Cant hurt to try anyway.

I agree. Very little creativity is possible. There's not alot of all species clothes available, alot of the nicer all species clothes are still really expensive and some pets don't have any species only clothes. I wished TNT would also make some more backgrounds too. But TNT is pumping new wearable items on the market almost every day so it's only a matter of time.



Yeah, I heard some people were giving 1's to pets that had NC mall items on them. Seems a bit childish to me personally. I think she looks great in that space armour. I also love the trident!

Edit: I actually managed to restock an anubis fountain on half price day and I bought a parasol now they've deflated a bit.

Wow - That actually works really really well. I didn't think any of the foreground items looked good but that lot works

I hope TNT comes up with some clothes for baby, mutants and maraquan pets. I still can't believe they made dung wearable, never saw that one comming, lol



Thanks! I entered her in the spotlight, but I doubt I have a chance of winning with all the thousands of pets that must have entered the spotlight.

I mean, TNT changed the way they looked so they could better fit a template. And now they can't even wear what most of the others can. D: My unconverted wocky can wear the same that my baby pets can. Some of the old drawings were more unique... if they aren't ever going to be able to wear clothes, I'd almost prefer the old drawings. XDD

Oh well, we'll probably get clothes in time =P
