Did you maybe have something religious on your user lookup? Some possibly offensive slang on a Trading Post wishlist? Do you remember what your shop description was?

Regardless, I'm sorry this has happened. Hopefully if you are polite but persistent, they will explain exactly what you did / said that was wrong, and decide that you can have your account back.

If you say you haven't been on the boards, it could be something in either neomessages, trades or anywhere else you can type in, even the petpet section (talk to your petpet) or BD where you can talk to the opponent? If you can't think of anything questionable you may have said the best thing to do is to explain this in the form and request an example of what you may have said. It could be that there has been some misunderstanding where maybe something appeared bad, you quoted someone who said something bad or you used a word you wasn't aware was considered inappropriate. Please be persistent but also remember to be polite and clear in any messages to TNT.

Neopets was so much better before the neoboards came along. I really wish there was an option to block the neoboards so this kinda thing woulndn't happen to people that don't even use them.

They have clearly stated in their mail back to you that it's NOT limited to the neoboards. You may have said something somewhere else (see above).

Asking them what you said will at least give you an idea how to go on. If it turns out you did say something inappropriate you will need to make another account and start again regarding these rules. If the thing you said was misunderstood, you can then get onto the task of explaining this to them, they can be very understanding believe it or not.

my 1st account was frozen over 6 years ago. I never got it back. I was on holiday and my account was hacked and neopets froze it without telling me. I was very sad. It was one of the orgional accounts before the site really took off.

I explained everything to them too...but they still refused to give it back and blamed me for what happened.

Needless to say, I'm still quite bitter about that.

I don't use the trading post, and the last time I used the battledome was for the plot so I didnt use the message box to talk to the opponent. I havent changed my shop description in a long time. Probably over a year if not longer so I doubt its that. On my userlookup I just have one quote that has been there for a while too. I dont use the talk to my pet option. Basically I dont post anything anywhere lol So I really have no idea what it could be.

Even if you haven't changed your shop description in forever, that doesn't mean that there couldn't have been something 'wrong' with it in TNT's eyes. You can put up something 'offensive' and not have it reported by a random user until months have gone by, after all.

one of my friends was frozen when a website they linked to sold their domain to a porn site. my friend didnt know because he hadent checked in awhile & of course neopets froze him.

thats why I dont post links to things anymore. it seems like any open domain can become porn.

the quote on my userlookup was "today is the tomorrow you dreamed about yesterday" And I cant remember my shop description word for word but it was something about trying to restock often. I really doubt its either of those.

It took me three days to get my account back. And it only took me mere hours to get a responce.

At first they didn't even believe I was the real owner... I had to make a petpage with extra SDB info and stuff on it because the frozen form was too small. D=

But mine was a case of my own stupidity - I self froze after having a bad day and having my mom tell a whole bunch of people Neo was entirely the reason I was unhappy and not doing well at school. Pffft.

The best thing to do, as a few people have said already, is ask TNT for more info about what they claim you said. One of my friends got frozen for 'sending TNT inappropriate emails', when there was no evidence anyone had been on her email nor had she sent anything to TNT. She asked TNT about it, and when they looked into it... they must have realized it was a mistake or something, seeing as her account isn't frozen today.

I can't really say much more, seeing as everyone else seems to have covered what I could have said. This is really unfair, freezing after no past problems, when I know people who have gotten up to 8 day suspensions for the same reason you were frozen, yet their accounts are still intact. I wish you luck in getting your account back...

the same thing happened to me.. i had an account that i got right around the beginning of neopets.. then i got a frozen message one day and they said it's because i used inappropriate language.. but i've never been on the boards once and i don't have any neofriends, so i don't send messages. never got my account back, which is a shame because i loved my neopets..

You might as well just make a new account. Unless you don't even want to really play and start over. In that case, don't sign back up. Break the addiction! I wish I could. Sometimes I wish I was frozen just so I wouldn't have an excuse to get on neopets all the time.

its very hard to make a word filter perfect. there is all kinds of jargan and slang from around the world that is changing constantly. a word me acceptable now that wasnt 5 or 10 years ago. that also works in reverse.

neopets is a global website so naturally theres a problem w. language barriers. things get translated wrong or misunderstood and before the problem is correctly addressed an account is frozen, then investigated. I wish they could find a way to check things out without freezing, but with so many accounts it would require alot more staff...who have to be paid...this more adds and things like NC/pemium accounts.

I hope you do get a response. Maybe it was a mistake. Or perhaps somebody else guessed your password and posted something offensive on your account. It would definitely help to try to figure out exactly what the offense was. Then you'd have a better idea of whether somebody hacked your account or whether it was a simple misunderstanding.

The main drawback about reading this thread: it makes me paranoid about being frozen. I recently bid on a lot of items at the trading post. It seemed like a really good deal: A Secret Laboratory Map Piece, 10 Dubloon Coin, 5 Codestones, Thornberry Trading Card, and 2 Scratch Cards in exchange for 100k and a Water Mote. The trade was accepted today... but I somehow got all the items AND my 100k back. The water mote isn't in my inventory anymore. I don't know if the person who I traded with gave the 100k NP back to me - or if they never went through. I sent in a bug report (and neomailed the girl I traded with)... but now I'm paranoid about trading or getting duped items.
