I cant play Maple either, so I think Trickster's your best bet.

The original NeverWinter Nights doesn't require that much to play and it doesn't cost much. Or Morrowind and/or Oblivion are good, but they aren't turn based, you get a lot more freedom in them then in NeverWinter Nights.

Why was this thread brought back from "the dead" ?

But Final Fantasy was always a hit, and maybe some others I'll think of later.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R is a FPS with RPG elemants. It's quite cool.
Boiling Point is an RPG, but in First Person View.

I suggest you check both of them out.

If you want something online, Runescape or World of Warcraft.

Offline? Pokemon, ftw.

There's an online version of Pokemon, too. It's called Pokemon Crater.

And I second everyone that's said FlyFF, but you (the topic creator) seem to have found that already. :)

if you're into MUDs, Achaea is a moderately fun one. But it tends to get a little dreary in between newbie-dom and full guild status, when all you do is level up to get the requirements.

Seconded, going through two expansion packs, becoming best friends with Deekin the Kobold bard (Doom doom DOOOM! Doomy Doom Dooom!) and summoning dragons to do your bidding is way too awesome. (I love Epic spells.)
Not to mention kicking the butt of an Archdevil, and taking control of the Vale of Caina.

*peeks head in*

I've said it once and I'll say it again... Shadow Hearts is one of the greatest RPG series out there! :)
