To get the nail gun, you have to have completed the previous puzzle - unlocking the door (see part three in our walkthrough on page 1). After you complete all rounds of that puzzle, you will get a mysterious metal object, which turns out to be the nail gun.

I tried the trick of turning off my pop up thing, and still the journal wont give me that jaw bone.
I havent beaten the thing in the battledome in Chapter 4, does this matter. If it does I guess I am lost as to getting the jawbone to saw the branch. Boo Hoo

Are you looking at the map in the journal? Did you try highlighting the text above the journal/map and then pressing the "Tab" button? Keep trying! Some people have had to try it multiple times. And you don't have to beat the petpet in Chapter 4. I only attempted to battle it once, lost, and I still got the jawbone.

Okay, I've been trying this one forever and still can't manage it. There's probably something I'm stupidly not seeing, so could someone help? The placement of just a few pieces would be greatly appreciated! :)

Incidentally, just what is a nail gun doing in a jungle in a lost island in the middle of nowhere? o_O

It was found in the mysterious tower 'spaceship', so it could possible be anything, we are only calling it a nail gun, it could be a spaceship part. :)

The "nail gun" (which I thought looked like an engine piston) appears to have an electrical socket on one end. I wonder what it *really* is?
