there's still a lot of creases to be ironed out. I'm sure we'll all get used to the layout the same way we did with the gamesroom redesign (remember the fuss over that?) and all the little glitches like random events, lookups etc will be fixed in the comming weeks. I'm waiting a week before I start to actually complain, these things take time after all.
The thing is, though, I never got used to the new Games Room layout. I still despise it, and I refused to go there unless absolutely necessary. (I either used Favorites, or I went to my games list from my user lookup.) The complaining may have died down about it, but I don't necessarily think that means everyone was used to it, or even liked it. In my opinion, it was more difficult and time-consuming to navigate, and was only done to appeal to children and young teenagers, instead of their long-suffering user base. And I happen to feel the same way about the new layout. People stopped complaining because they knew nothing would be changed, but that doesn't mean that it was a good move, or even wildly popular. That just means people were resigned to not being heard by Neo any more. (This is nothing against people who liked the new Games page, I'm just pointing out how I felt about it.)
I do feel kind of bad for all the people who put so much effort into this new layout, but ultimately it was NOT their decision. This change had to have come from management, and probably very high-level management. So even though a lot of people are furious about the change, and detest various things about it, we're really mad at the person who changed it, and not the designers/programmers/artists who worked on the change.
