*hands Inrun a kleenex* You know. *pokes Inrun* You were around then. Lots of us were. Things were different then. And those who are new to the site (meaning after Viacom bought it) never got the chance to grow up with this site. And, gosh, they have no idea what they missed. Good times. Not always the most fun (like when petpets turned into apples), but still and all, something that just can't be found on the site anymore.
I generally hate living in the past, but honestly, I feel the burn this time. I miss being able to neomail the artists and the staff and have honest conversations with them. Some of them were super awesome, and now I just feel... ya know... not all that in touch with them. Adam and Donna were both cool beans. They both came here, other staff came here too (some still do i'm sure), but it was still different. I think one fo the main reasons i'm drifting away is that the sites just... not the same. It's very commercial, i'm finding it political and biased and i'm tired of that.
And now I hate how they redrew my Tyrannian Lupe. So i'm more upset.
(Seriously, it's head looks detatched from it's body). As much as I appreciate what they're trying to do, one of the things I loved was the personable nature in which Neopets was handled, but now... eh.
I've been on the site a long... long... time. And it's strange to see it like this now. I don't know if i'll ever get used to it. I probably won't. The old site was getting wierd for me to handle what with the game room and all... but now? Blech.
Evisceration is a sign of respect.
