With all of the chaos breaking loose, Ganon takes advantage of the confusion and gores Reno for -4 damage. That action sealed his doom. Everyone assumes Ganon is the cause of the destruction.
Reno: Get the perp!
Sam focuses his Trifocal Goggles on Ganon, Twinrova and Agahnim. Smithy fires a Magnum blast at Ganon, dealing -7 damage to the beast with only -2 damage recoil. Koopa rams Ganon with the Clown Car for -3 damage.
Sephiroth: I never trusted him. Blizzaja.
The ice spell freezes Ganon, Cloud, and Aerith for -2 damage each. Montblanc cannot see where he is going with Yoshi on his head. He runs into Ganon and headbutts him with Yoshi for -3 damage.
Ganon: Me sorry! It no me fault! Coughs. Ahem! I mean. This chaotic and confounding incident is not the work of myself nor my cohorts. Please cease your attacks against me, or I shall become perturbed.
Sephiroth: Why should we listen to you?
Vaati calls up some Laser Orbs and zaps Sephiroth and Deoxys for -3 damage each.
Sephiroth: Good point.
Pit flies off to the side and watches the battle.
Pit: Glad to see them ganging up on someone else for once.
Kite: You are a chicken.
Pit: What?
Kite: Protect break!
Kite Data Drains Pit changing him into a friend of Sora.

Everyone notices the flash from Pit’s area.
Vaati: He’s the one get him!
Everyone chases after Pit. Kite just stands to the side and pretends not to notice. Pit screams in a voice that sounds like Zach Braff and runs away.

0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out. If you miss one of the posting periods, you will not get an extra move. Specials follow the same format where appropriate.

Specials and weapons should be used before regular attacks can be used.

Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).

Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. Characters that still have an available SSA are marked with the Yen symbol (¥)

Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.

<s> Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.
Special: Mime: *Gogo copies the last action done (the post above this use). *Gogo’s user may choose new targets. *If a special was used, Gogo receives -3 damage in addition to the special’s effects. *Cannot mime SSAs or actions in the GM’s posts. *Cannot be the first action of the round. *If Gogo is not used, he automatically heals for +1 HP each round, but he starts with 30 HP at the beginning of the game. *He counts as male for gender related contests.</s>

Castlevania: +30 - Vampire Slayer - Characters can automatically defeat two NPCs with 1, 2, or 3 HP or defeat one 4 or 5 HP NPC in addition any other actions this round
Deep Space 9ers: +50 - Reflective Shields - All attacks directed at the members are reflected back to the attackers. Members can still attack
Dream Land: +20 - Skill Copy - Members may use any special belonging to any [Faction] member. (Check character guide or with the GM for specials)
Hyrule: +90 points - Magic Sack - Members may use any weapon unlimited times (weapon changes user after each use unless user can do unlimited attacks) (Check item guide or with the GM for items)
Independent: +0 - None (duh, they have no team)
Defeated - Kongo Jungle: +20 - Monkey Friends - When a member is attacked, the attacker receives a -1 damage counterattack for every -2 damage dealt to member (counterattack is rounded down)
Mushroom Kingdom: +40 - Mega Mushroom - All members deal double damage for the rest of the round, but cannot use weapons. Negative side effects are doubled for members
Pokémon: +50 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Defeated - Sephiroth: +50 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +170 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action
Versus: +70 - Versus: Adrenaline Rush - Members may make unlimited actions. Special users may use their special twice (any given player may only use the special once)

Round 108 Announcements:
1: Brackets?! What are those?
2: I hope you liked the commercial parodies. They are really fun to write. If you have suggestions, feel free to PM me. I will be doing more of the ‘who’s greatest’ discussions since they are pretty fun to write. Both features should return after the war. Drools over the idea of more Mac vs PC commercials.
3: [Insert cheap plug for My set contest]. Tell all of your friends! It is all the rage!
4: Notes for the war: 1) All of the ‘major’ action will be noted in the plot. Actions will be bolded. 2) NPCs marked (B) or (B*) are Bosses. The (B*) means they have to be defeated or they will stay after the event is over. 3) There will be a log of each day’s NPC actions below the Announcements. Also, next to each NPC special I will note the Character or NPC they have targeted. 4) All NPC data is listed below. It will be kept up to date. NPCs with high HP will ‘respawn’ when they are defeated.
5: Event Requests: Send specials and targets once more.
6: Christopher bought both new SSAs for -250 points total. That means he was the one that picked most of the stuff that happened this round. Pretty crazy, huh?
7: Some of the stuff he picked: The Faction Ability, the Stage, and who the NPCs targeted. Except for his own team, Ganon took all the attacks.

This Round's Stage:
Angel Island: Master Emerald! All regular attacks aimed towards NPCs and Bosses deal double damage. All heals are for +3 HP. Sonic Team gains +2 HP automatically.

This Round's Mini-game:
War Event
Overview: You do not have to participate if you do not want to join. The war will run even if there is no one participating in it. As an added bonus, the war will only occasionally spill over into the rest of the game. That means that even though there are many strong NPCs and Bosses on the field, not all of them, not even a quarter of them, probably less than five of them, will attack each round. Example will be like a few stray Goombas or a Dark Trooper or Vaati or something like that will make one attack against the player controlled characters. To reiterate: Participation is optional and the war will barely affect the rest of the game.

Strategy:
Do not overtly go after your objectives. There are enough other players and GM controlled NPCs to complete them for you if you give them time. Each Boss has at least one special (previously defeated and future characters will have their specials) that they will use to strike back, heal up or otherwise hinder your plans.

NPC controls:
The GM will handle all NPC and Boss actions. Most of the time they will be fighting each other so they can be ignored. NPCs and Bosses defeated will not be counted in official records unless the defeat is significant (i.e. Koopa Jr). High HP NPCs (i.e. Darknuts) are likely to be dropped if many of them are defeated. High HP NPCs (i.e. Metroids) are targeted one at a time. Several low HP NPCs (i.e. Goombas) can easily be defeated each round. (Hint: Lots of Goombas eliminated = lots of points, but few would attack each round if at all!)

Player Control?:
Although most of the action will be done by the GM, he will allow supporters to make suggestions about the plot and which specials their team should use.

Rewards: (To be handed out at event’s end)
Complete Primary Objectives: Free move for any time and pick the Pokeball. (If more than one player qualifies, the first to PM before the week’s end gets the pick for that week).
Complete Secondary Objectives: +100 points
If none of the above are completed:
Complete an objective (both Primary and Secondary): +15 points per objective complete

Are we allowed to request a list of unused SSAs, or do we only get to know who hasn't used theirs?


There should be the Yen symbol next to those whose SSAs are unused. They are currently: Alucard, Blaze, Chrono. Cloud, Edge, Fei, Geno, Katarn, Liu, Prince, Rikku, Siegfried, Simon, Soma, Terry, X, Zero.

Didn't Chris use the Debug mode already?

Also, is "All heals are for +3 HP" for stuff like Praying where two people would've only healed for +1 HP?

Yes! Kite's SSA takes effect at the start of the round, being used by the person that activated the SSA.

The GM dives for cover as the Bubble Bobble creatures attack again. After they leave, the GM reemerges armed with a gunblade.
GM: The hunt is on!
The GM runs out to hunt the creatures.

After all of the beatdowns, Montblanc frees his head from the unconscious Yoshi. He powers up greatly and casts Curaja on of the Heros. They are healed for +5 HP... each! Master Chief blasts the remains of a weakened Metroid.
Doc: Wow. That was really nice of Montblanc.
O’Malley: Yes. We should put a bomb under his car as thanks.
Doc: Or bake him some cookies!
O’Malley: Whatever, nutcase.
Doc gets out his Healer and patches up Sephiroth and Ridley for +4 HP each. While the others are healing, Ridley strikes Vaati for a -3 damage shot. Vaati falls back with his wounds and starts preparing a spell.
Vaati: Don’t worry about me. Just end this.
Following orders, Twinrova blasts Zelda with a -4 damage Glacier Beam. Agahnim strikes Link for -3 damage. Smithy breaks out the Metal Works and Koopa Jr chomps Vaati for -3 damage. Pit gets an additional Esuna from Montblanc to return to normal.
Pit: I am going to find and beat Kite!
Meta Knight: That statement was Pit-iful.
Pit gets out his knifes and advances towards Meta Knight.
Meta Knight: Dude. Calm down.
Pit: I am sick of everyone making fun of me. I am finally going to do something about it!
Snake, Sam: Sneak attack!
Snake and Sam hop out of a pair of cardboard boxes and abduct Pit. They run off with their victim before Pit can react.
Meta Knight: What just happened?
Sam and Snake return with mischievous grins.
Meta Knight: What did you do this time?
Snake: Nothing.
Sam: We’re innocent.
Meta Knight sighs and walks away. Elsewhere, Pit is bound and gagged. He is tied to the back of a Dark Trooper. Pit struggles and tries to yell. The Dark Trooper scratched its back with the Assault Cannon. Vaati finishes his spell. He is surrounded by a great aura and mutates to a monstrous form. The powerful Wind Mage Vaati strikes Koopa Jr for a -5 damage revenge shot.

Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. Characters that still have an available SSA are marked with the Yen symbol (¥)

Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.

<s> Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.

Pokémon: +50 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Defeated - Sephiroth: +50 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +170 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action

1: Brackets?! What are those?
2: I hope you liked the commercial parodies. They are really fun to write. If you have suggestions, feel free to PM me. I will be doing more of the ‘who’s greatest’ discussions since they are pretty fun to write. Both features should return after the war. Drools over the idea of more Mac vs PC commercials.

4: Notes for the war: 1) All of the ‘major’ action will be noted in the plot. Actions will be bolded. 2) NPCs marked (B) or (B*) are Bosses. The (B*) means they have to be defeated or they will stay after the event is over. 3) There will be a log of each day’s NPC actions below the Announcements. Also, next to each NPC special I will note the Character or NPC they have targeted. 4) All NPC data is listed below. It will be kept up to date. NPCs with high HP will ‘respawn’ when they are defeated.

Angel Island: Master Emerald! All regular attacks aimed towards NPCs and Bosses deal double damage. All heals are for +3 HP. Sonic Team gains +2 HP automatically.

This Round's Mini-game:
War Event
Overview: You do not have to participate if you do not want to join. The war will run even if there is no one participating in it. As an added bonus, the war will only occasionally spill over into the rest of the game. That means that even though there are many strong NPCs and Bosses on the field, not all of them, not even a quarter of them, probably less than five of them, will attack each round. Example will be like a few stray Goombas or a Dark Trooper or Vaati or something like that will make one attack against the player controlled characters. To reiterate: Participation is optional and the war will barely affect the rest of the game.

Strategy:
Do not overtly go after your objectives. There are enough other players and GM controlled NPCs to complete them for you if you give them time. Each Boss has at least one special (previously defeated and future characters will have their specials) that they will use to strike back, heal up or otherwise hinder your plans.

NPC controls:
The GM will handle all NPC and Boss actions. Most of the time they will be fighting each other so they can be ignored. NPCs and Bosses defeated will not be counted in official records unless the defeat is significant (i.e. Koopa Jr). High HP NPCs (i.e. Darknuts) are likely to be dropped if many of them are defeated. High HP NPCs (i.e. Metroids) are targeted one at a time. Several low HP NPCs (i.e. Goombas) can easily be defeated each round. (Hint: Lots of Goombas eliminated = lots of points, but few would attack each round if at all!)

Player Control?:
Although most of the action will be done by the GM, he will allow supporters to make suggestions about the plot and which specials their team should use.

Rewards: (To be handed out at event’s end)
Complete Primary Objectives: Free move for any time and pick the Pokeball. (If more than one player qualifies, the first to PM before the week’s end gets the pick for that week).
Complete Secondary Objectives: +100 points
If none of the above are completed:
Complete an objective (both Primary and Secondary): +15 points per objective complete

Koopa and a Dark Trooper stare each other down. They charge each other, and there is flash of combat. Koopa Bowser Bombs Jeran and Soma, dealing -2 damage and causing them to be stunned. The Dark Trooper fires an Assault Cannon blast that sends Auron for a loop.
Pit: Get me off of this thing!


Don't forget that you can attack the Characters as well as Bosses and NPCs too, but maybe not this round since you're on Angel Island again. The good Angel Island, not the prison.
