I think their hands are like that so that if you want them holding a staff or a wand or something it will look right. Otherwise it just looks like it is making a fist. I am not crazy about the fist thing either.

I just thought of something awesome. If someone were very good at drawing, maybe they could have user-submitted costumes. I don't know if they could do that legally, but I don't see why they couldn't. That would rock, because then people really could get anything they could dream up. Or at least neopets could look at the design and copy it. Anyway, they should have a suggestion box or something were we can describe what we would like to have.

I think you can bet that this is the paid service that was talked about some months ago. You'll likely be able to purchase each costume package separately. Premium's getting to test it out, but it clearly states that when testing is over our pets will revert back to normal.

Some pets cannot be customised at this time. I have a mutant draik, and he has no clothes. My halloween uni has 10 items.

yeah...my ugily drawn lutari only has 2...and they're both feminine...and my lutari is a boy...

Hmmm..what would a mutant Draik wear is the question. I could kind of see it with some tattered looking clothing or maybe with some kind of necklace or gauntlets or something like that. I think regular clothing wouldn't suit it's charactor.

I'm kinda on the fence with this. At first I was all OMGSOEXCITED!!1!, but now I don't know. I mean, seriously. What drugs were they one when they redrew the aisha? It's ...just ugh. I can't even talk about it yet. Do not want.

If TNT ever made it so these pets were connected directly with our pets lookups, I'd have to morph my all my pets. I could not stand to look at four smiling...things pretending to be Aishas.

Although these redraws have actually made me like the look of draiks. So on that I approve.

Heh, yeah, my baby Kougra only has one item.. a bow that attaches to her cheek o-O

I gotta say, as a general idea, I like this. I like the idea of customising their faces and physical features, especially - I couldn't care less about the clothes.

I was going to go Premium soon anyway, now I think I'll do it sometime in the next week because I want to try this out.

As far as stocking up on clothing items goes, here's my take.

I doubt that they will use items from Uni's clothing; I think what they are saying is that for so long we wished we could use that stuff so they're creating a new feature and new shop to do it from.

HOWEVER - When/if the feature is made public, people might get confused and start buying up Uni's Clothing items anyway, so although you'd be preying on the people who didn't understand, you would likely make money as people who are under the impression that those items would work will start buying them up like crazy.

Just my take on it.

Part of the text makes me think they will use the stuff from the shops. Because it says something about "haven't you ever wanted to see your pets in battledome items before the fight" and then something about creating a friendlier version of your pet for everday.

Now we already have plenty of battledome stuff. Some stuff is quite expensive and has a lot of fans. So say that expensive and popular battledome item has a lot of fans already, why would they make a second and new wearable version of that?

So say you have a thyora tear, would you be able to wear it? Or would neopets have to make a new wearable version for people who are fans of that? It seems like more work to me. So they'd probably just let you wear the one you had. I mean, if you had one you'd be mad if you couldn't wear it and you had to buy the wearable one.

No. All my pets are painted (Island Elephante, Faerie Aisha, Pirate Xweetok and Darigan Kougra) and you can see the clothes they have on the screencaps I posted before. The Pirate Xweetok only had Pirate clothing, but the rest had many different kinds.

My Darigan Kougra is slightly too big to fit into the Kougra Robot body casing, so you can see bits of his paws sticking out underneath it. I think there's a lot of painted and mutant pets that this will happen to.

Yeah, but does Neo EVER do stuff the easy way, or the way we'd like?

But seriously, I dunno, it's also hard to predict just which items will be made wearable; some may never be and it would be a waste of NP, especially once people realize they can't resell those particular ones and start reselling them for less just to get rid of 'em.

I just think it doesn't make since if you have a thyora tear that you'd have to buy "wearable thyora tear" or whatever. If you have one already, they should let you wear the one you have. What if the new one was easier to get or less expensive. That would stink. People would be very upset if the prices deflated because some wearble things were easier to get.
