SSBB = Super Smash Brothers Brawl
To all of those interested in joining, there are no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat. If you need additional help, I am here most of the time and more than willing to try to help as much as possible.
Story as of now:
They were in a game too!?
- Guess who pic from
Picture Shrines once more.
Ness kicks a Red Shell at Zelda for -1 damage to many. Reno rides his chocobo around the arena.
Reno: I should take him to GS. I have a feeling he might like it there. Don’t know why.
Rides over to Yuna. Want to get dinner at GS later?
Yuna: Duck soup!
Reno: Duck what?
Yuna: Getting that after the round. So buzz off!
Reno: But I found a singer to serenade you.
Purin jumps up and starts singing. Her song puts everyone to sleep instantly.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Sephiroth is stalking Aerith and the rest of the FF VII party in the Bone Village. He almost has a chance to strike, but they walk away. He gets discouraged, but then gets an idea and pops a mint. Snappy music starts playing. Sephiroth starts running through Bone Village. He goes up a large staircase and finds a vantage point over a pool of water. Aerith comes in and starts praying. Sephiroth takes aim and jumps. He falls straight into the water. Aerith looks and laughs. Sephiroth pops out of water, grins sheepishly, shrugs and hold up the mints..
Narrator: Mentos. The fresh-maker.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The Imperial colonel, Ridley, and Doc/O’Malley have just watched Sephiroth’s commercial.
Colonel: That commercial was completely uneffective.
Ridley: It doesn’t make me want a Mento at all.
O’Malley:
Gets up. Zombie-like. Must kill President Lincoln.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Snake and Sam are sitting in boxes against a blank screen. Sam is doing some stretches.
Snake: I’m a Mac.
Sam: And I’m a PC.
Snake: Ready to get started?
Snake starts jumping out of the box.
Sam: Well, not quite. Got a lot to do. What is your big plan?
Snake: I might save New York or blow up some Metal Gears. Try out my octocamo. I can do it all right away since I’m a clone.
Sam: Well, first I have to go through basic, then specialist school.
Snake: Sweet.
Sam: And I have a lot of NSA special ops training to do.
Snake: You know. It sounds like you have a lot of stuff to do before you so any stuff. I’m just going to get started since I’m kinda excited.
Leaps out of the box. Let me know when you are ready!
Sam: Actually, the rest of my gear is in other boxes...
Snake comes back and crawls into the box again.
Snake: Actually, I like it in here. It is cozy.
Snake in a box slinks away again.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Satoshi is sitting around doing a crossword puzzle.
Satoshi: ‘Ten to the negative twelfth power’?
Pikachu: Pika!
Satoshi: Thanks. ‘Number one’?
Pichu: Pi!
Satoshi: Ah! Right. ‘Setting on a blender times two’?
Purin: Puri-puri!
Satoshi fills the answers into his crossword.
Narrator: Pokémon Crossword Services. When you gotta catch all the answers.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Montblanc is still putting the ‘clan’ through their paces. He is walking back and forth in front of the ‘troops’. He stops in front of Leon.
Montblanc: What is your major malfunction, kupo!
Leon: Well... I like vanilla over chocolate, my favorite color is peridot, I think Tibet should be free, and if I could have dinner with anyone in the world, it'd be Mary Steenburgen.
Montblanc: Mary Steenburgen, kupo?
Montblanc moves on to Meta Knight.
Montblanc: Pyle, kupo!
Meta Knight: Shazzam!
Montblanc: Pyle, kupo!
Meta Knight: Shazzam!
Montblanc: Pyle, kupo!
Meta Knight: Shazzam!
Montblanc: Heh, heh. Shazzam, kupo.
Montblanc moves on to Samanosuke.
Montblanc: Private Samanosuke may well be the finest recruit I've seen in all my years of service. That young man fills me with hope. And some other emotions that are weird and deeply confusing, kupo.
Samanosuke: Yee!
Montblanc moves on to Kratos.
Montblanc: How do you sleep at night, kupo?
Kratos: On top of a pile of money, with many beautiful women.
Montblanc: Yesh! Just asking, kupo.
Montblanc moves on to Katt next.
Montblanc: Now, you might face some prejudices, so I’ll test how you react to certain jeers.
Katt: Okay.
Montblanc: Dirty cat.
Katt: Jerk.
Montblanc: Fang-less tiger.
Katt: Mouse.
Montblanc: Claw-less lion.
Katt: Tasty mouse.
Montblanc: [Derogatory term also meaning cat]
Katt: Dead mouse!
Montblanc: You’re hired.
Montblanc moves to Pit last.
Montblanc: Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun, or exciting, you make it... not that way. I hate... so much about the things that you choose to be.
Montblanc walks away from Pit.
Pit: So am I in?
0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions
after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out. If you miss one of the posting periods, you will not get an extra move. I will allow posts +5 minutes in so you don’t have to rush your action.

Specials follow the same format where appropriate.
Specials and weapons should be used before regular attacks can be used.
Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).
Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. Characters that still have an available SSA are marked with the Yen symbol (¥)
Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.
<s>
Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.
Special: Mime: *Gogo copies the last action done (the post above this use). *Gogo’s user may choose new targets. *If a special was used, Gogo receives -3 damage in addition to the special’s effects. *Cannot mime SSAs or actions in the GM’s posts. *Cannot be the first action of the round. *If Gogo is not used, he automatically heals for +1 HP each round, but he starts with 30 HP at the beginning of the game. *He counts as male for gender related contests.</s>
Starting/Maximum HP = 50 Factions: (** = Active Ability)
Castlevania: +30 - Vampire Slayer - Characters can automatically defeat two NPCs with 1, 2, or 3 HP or defeat one 4 or 5 HP NPC in addition any other actions this round
Deep Space 9ers: +50 - Reflective Shields - All attacks directed at the members are reflected back to the attackers. Members can still attack
Dream Land: +20 - Skill Copy - Members may use any special belonging to any [Faction] member. (Check character guide or with the GM for specials)
Hyrule: +90 points - Magic Sack - Members may use any weapon unlimited times (weapon changes user after each use unless user can do unlimited attacks) (Check item guide or with the GM for items)
Independent: +0 - None (duh, they have no team)
Defeated - Kongo Jungle: +20 - Monkey Friends - When a member is attacked, the attacker receives a -1 damage counterattack for every -2 damage dealt to member (counterattack is rounded down)
Mushroom Kingdom: +40 - Mega Mushroom - All members deal double damage for the rest of the round, but cannot use weapons. Negative side effects are doubled for members
Pokémon: +50 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Sephiroth: +60 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +160 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action

Game Site:Overall, found here.Preview movies, found here.Round 84 Announcements:1: Which of these storries will you be talking about tomorrow!
2:
Both Brackets are Active!3: I hope you are liking the commercial parodies. They are really fun to write. If you have suggestions, feel free to PM me.
4: The new, month-long ‘mini’-game is essentially done being written. I have posted its information at the bottom of the page. Since some
irksome developments have happened, I am modifying things a little. All entries will be in tonight and tomorrow and winners will be announced when the boards are back to normal. I will change all of that below.
5: I am canceling tomorrow’s update.
(Oh really!) Since today will be the last round for a while, please go all out. I’ll give you a few extra toys to help out. All of the data for the game will be saved in the mean time so we can pick up where we left off with ease. (If your username has to be changed, just contact me when we restart).
6: Dirty Jobs are everywhere. Just take a look around. Down the street. Up the stairs. And even under ground. You do not need to borrow, beg. You do not need to rob. All you have to do? Is get a Dirty Job.
7: This is a tough one. RPGs would be your best source. Few good hints: Orthros, Dr Sloth, Brother, Reno, etc.
8:
This makes me more than a little irked since I was planning a huge April Fools update to tease all of you.
9: You really don’t know how much I wanted to use Cloud’s SSA :P
10: To keep me working on at least a dozen projects (thus replacing this one), I will post the Request information. Hope you use it.

This Round's Mini-game: Referral ServicesOnce again, I ask to count the number of references that have been made. But wait! It isn’t just for today! It is for the whole month of March! This shouldn’t be too hard since I have made many references a day for a long time. The dates you want to search from are March 1st to March 31st. The ‘mini-game’ will be active while March is still ending, but that is by design. Collaboration is fine, but there will be no prize splitting.
Entries by non-players are accepted. Prizes for those entries are added to the general pool for later redistribution. PM all questions. If they require clarification overall, then I will announce them.
What to Look For:1) Subtle references. The commercials and direct quotes are some of the few direct references that will be counted. The Characters, the Stages, the Items, the NPCs, etc are not counted. References to their games are only counted in plots or announcements. If in doubt, put it in, but find another just in case it is not counted.
2) Only look in Plots and Announcements. Everything else is virtually the same information every single time. Added to this ‘hint,’ only look in posts that I have made that contain plot or announcements. That means you have ignore Christopher’s wonderful FLCL reference and link (Love that song!) as well as any other references in players’ posts or my corrections. (No staff-chucks :()
3) Double references. Big hint on what I mean by that: Mr Kennedy’s NBC-style PSA with the Resident Evil twist. Or Snake, Sam, and Raiden’s commercial. They are a little subtler, but worth two references on the final tally.
4) Multiple references from the same source count as one large reference. Just mentioning that since I found one like that on Day 1.
5) Last hint:
Start here and go to the end of the thread.
6) Anything else? This space will be used for clarification if needed.
Entry Dates: Now until PPT goes bye-bye for a time
