Exactly. Even though it's fun to create new Pokemon, they need to be defeated at a much quicker rate than they are replaced, or else the game would have no point. The purpose of Wild Pokemon was so that people wouldn't be stuck with what they got at the very beginning, and could improve on the team they already had. Plus I can't have people going back to the first week and trying to catch Abra. Then I would have to look way back, see what its stats were and stuff. That's why I hate splitting topics.
That being said, I think there will probably be only two more Wild Pokemon encounters. One will be a sort of mega-encounter with lots of Pokemon and slightly different rules (and that's coming soon), then we'll have the 8th Gym Leader, and sometime after that the final Wild Pokemon. As for the sequence that would occur in, I think it's a very real possibility that the first two would occur after certain disappearances stop.
Anyways, if all goes well, we'll have updates tomorrow. We'll also have a split after Turn 50.
Oh, and I'll throw these little gems out there as well: At least two Pokemon in this game, right now, are very close to having One-Hit KO moves. One Water Pokemon and one Fire Pokemon are about to become far more powerful, and a certain Ghost Pokemon has the power to delete moves permanently. Finally, two Pokemon, one fainted, have the ability to damage every Pokemon in play at the same time.
I'll let you guys work out these hints yourselves.
