SSBB = Super Smash Brothers Brawl
To all of those interested in joining, there are no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat. If you need additional help, I am here most of the time and more than willing to try to help as much as possible.
Story as of now:

The Tonberry waddles over to Young Link and says ‘Doink.’ Young link falls over laughing. The Tonberry gets offended and stabs him in the head for -5 damage. Keith waddles over to Yoshi and says ‘Kweh!’ He then breathes fire all over Yoshi dealing -5 damage to him and -1 to himself. Lastly, Reno waddles over to Yuna and says:
Reno: You, me, hot tub, and some fine sake.
Yuna drags Reno off his chocobo by the ponytail, changes to Trainer DS and has her dog start chewing on the referee.

Despite being in a hallway in a giant sports complex, Snake and his friends are camping. Kratos has passed out early and a couple of the others are messing with him.
Leon: No, no, like this.
Snake: Yeah. That works.
Sam: How about we...
Chief: No, that would be stupid.
Sam: Fine. How about...
Chief: Yeah!
Meta Knight: What are you doing?
All of the pranksters turn and ‘shh’ at the same time. They have ‘chiefed’ Kratos, as well as adding plenty of make-up. They have filled both hands with shaving cream as well.
Meta Knight: Idiots.
Meta Knight walks away. He returns with a party hat and puts it on Kratos’ head.
Meta Knight: There you go.
They all suddenly pull out bottles of a drink.
All:
Quietly. Brilliant!
Leon: Just need one last thing...
Leon sneaks over to a sleeping Pit. He pulls a feather off one of Pit’s wings. Pit tries yelling, but Snake covers his mouth and holds a knife to his throat. Leon carefully tickles Kratos’ nose. Kratos moans and rolls a bit. Leon tickles again, and Kratos strikes. Kratos gets covered in shaving cream and awakes in a daze.
Kratos: What happened? What is going on!
Sam: Werewolves attacked! They went that way!
Kratos: Werewolves! Sweet Dionysus!
Kratos grab the Blades of Athena and runs off doing a battle cry. Everyone else just falls over laughing.
0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions
after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out. If you miss one of the posting periods, you will not get an extra move. I will allow posts +5 minutes in so you don’t have to rush your action.

Specials follow the same format where appropriate.
Specials and weapons should be used before regular attacks can be used.
Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).
Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. They may not be ready at the start of the game, but I’ll finish them as soon as possible.
Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.
Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.
Special: Mime: *Gogo copies the last action done (the post above this use). *Gogo’s user may choose new targets. *If a special was used, Gogo receives -3 damage in addition to the special’s effects. *Cannot mime SSAs or actions in the GM’s posts. *Cannot be the first action of the round. *If Gogo is not used, he automatically heals for +1 HP each round, but he starts with 30 HP at the beginning of the game. *He counts as male for gender related contests.

Hyrule: +90 points - Magic Sack - Members may use any weapon unlimited times (weapon changes user after each use unless user can do unlimited attacks) (Check item guide or with the GM for items)
Independent: +0 - None (duh, they have no team)
Defeated - Kongo Jungle: +20 - Monkey Friends - When a member is attacked, the attacker receives a -1 damage counterattack for every -2 damage dealt to member (counterattack is rounded down)
Mushroom Kingdom: +40 - Mega Mushroom - All members deal double damage for the rest of the round, but cannot use weapons. Negative side effects are doubled for members
Pokémon: +50 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Sephiroth: +60 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +160 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action
Versus: +70 - Versus: Adrenaline Rush - Members may make unlimited actions. Special users may use their special twice (any given player may only use the special once)

1:
Bracket A is Active! Bracket B is Inactive!
2: One more before my special one.
3: Today’s subject: National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Loosely started in 1905 by a group of African-Americans, lead by W.E.B. DuBois, to discuss issues facing ‘people of color’ (anyone non-White). By 1909, they wished to expand their group and start actually tackling the issues. They officially adopted their name at their second conference, which was mostly white and Jewish. The group wouldn’t have a African-American president until 1975. Their first battle was against Jim Crow laws. They protested against President Wilson for trying to implement segregation in the Federal Govt and won a 1917 Supreme Court case that took away the segregation of residential districts. During WWI, the group was able to get the Army to accept African-American officers. Between the wars, they fought hard against lynching and won another Supreme Court case to help the fight. After WWII, the NAACP took up the fight for desegregation once more. It took many years and a couple of court battles but in the end, the Supreme Court voted unanimously in favor of the NAACP lawyers, notably Thurgood Marshall, for the Brown v Board of Education of Kansas case and effectively ended segregation. Over the next few years, the group clashed with Dr King on the best manner of protecting, but they got along, especially in the case of organizing the March on Washington, where Dr King delivered his legendary ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. Over the following several years, the group kept up its work in advancing the rights of all ‘colored people’ In the 1990s, the group hit some hard times but was able to recover in good form. In the past... six-ish years (hate to get political, but I have to on this case), the NAACP has had a strained relationship with the president in power. Said president has been generally hostile to the group and refused to meet with the group on several occasions despite repeated invitations.

6: Want to know how much of a nerd I am? I was just wishing that this area would get a Sci-Fi convention sometime soon. I haven’t been too one in ages. To quote the Simpsons: ‘Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con: Be there, and be square.’ (I would go as a Stargater, but still bug all of the Trekkers

8: I really had to resist the urge to do an ‘off-color’ Family Guy reference that would have been close to the line. Just think about the time the others chiefed Quagmire after he passed out from a drinking game when they were fishing.

10: Chiefing is where you use your Sharpe to draw and write on a person when they are asleep. I had a teacher who would toss you a Sharpe if the person next to you fell asleep in class.
