Sure did. :) I remember thinking it was strange that Neopia doesn't rotate on an axis. (I don't mean it's not rotating around the sun, which it's clearly doing; I mean it's not spinning like a top a the same time. Like this.). Yes, I realize it was probably left stationary in order to make it easier to figure out the moon phases, but still...it just looked odd.

Perhaps that's why the entire planet has only one time zone?

Also: We know Neopia's moon is Kreludor, but do they have a name for their sun?

Glow-in-the-Dark Moon

Today, my moon was actually half way between two correct answers. It wasn't exactly at a 45 degree angle, and it wasn't exactly at a 22.5 degree angle ... it was in between them. It looked slightly closer to 45, so I went with that, and got it right. But that could make answering this a little bit harder, sometimes.

I missed it today. I was sure that I had it right, but it must have been just a little off.

HAHAHAHA that cracks me up. Because if neopia actually travelled around the sun like that, half the planet would be in a constant state of night and the other half a constant state of day.
maybe that is why it only has one time zone :roflol:

Well, synchronous rotation's not uncommon. And it would explain why we only saw one side of Neopia for so long...

I love consolation prizes

Let's trade :P

I'm surprised there isn't a petpage up with answers to each possible moon position or something. I found a guide (here) but I still get it wrong with that. Since it doesn't tell you the right answer, I have no idea what I did wrong lol :(

Edit: ralrejrkgh I got an easy one today and blew it because I had it backwards!!! Moon directly behind planet = dark not light. :[ *stupid*

Those remarkable restoratives that you can win don't do anything. I wonder if they ever will be useful for healing pets?

HAH! Sweet. I lost, but I got the rainbow dung :P

Sun Feb 18, 2007 4:26 pm

What???? There is NO WAY that wasn't a full moon!

Grr. For someone who made it as far as "Introduction to Astrophysics" in college I'm finding this surprisingly frustrating. So far I've only been right once.

Ugh, I am incredibly terrible at this for some reason. I've yet to get it right. None of the charts seem to help me, because I used one today, even tho' I was almost certain of my answer... Well, the chart and I were wrong.

Oh well, yay for rainbow dung?

Sun Feb 18, 2007 8:12 pm

Aww, I SO got that right, but nooo. >:(

*kicks the wise Gnorbu*

*steals all his good prizes and runs away*

Blue Moon Petpet Bed

Take the image and put it into a paint like program, and then it is easier to see the angles.

Yay! I finally got one! Green Tea Custard looks absolutely stunning. =D MUCH better than that gross food nonsense the Tombola man hands out!
