Can't you get Hep C from simple piercings, too?

You can get it from an unclean needle. Meaning one that was used on a person who had Hep C and then wasn't cleaned properly before using it on the next person to come along. So, it makes sense to only go to reputable places for tattoos and piercings--and if your state (or country, if outside the US) licenses those types of places, all the more better.

I wouldn't care how long I've been involved with the person and how much I believe I love them. I like to think realistically, a lot of relationships end even after years and years. Besides, if I got a tattoo I would want it to be something that could be interpreted rather than read.

I'm fine with my hypothetically getting non-ear piercings (nothing too out there, though), but tattoos? No. I'm fine with other people getting them, and I appreciate how beautiful some are, but for myself, absolutely not- pain factor aside, I just don't really want any. Maybe something really really really small, but other than that, no.

Relationships go sour all the time.. I'd hate to have a reminder, let alone the name of my EX on my body forever.. sides those things dang hurt.

There's an easy solution for that: Bring your own needle.

Henna is not directly injected into the skin; it is absorbed. That means it's perfectly safe. Just don't get "Black Henna."

XD No, when I went to get my tattoo, I made sure that they IDed me so I knew they were legal and I made sure I saw the tattoo artist unwrap the needle in front of me and then throw it away. Every time you go into the back of any piercing or tattoo shop, you should be hit by the smell of disinfectant. If you don't, walk away.

Getting someone's name tattooed on you is about the same as getting any other kind of tattoo. You have to be sure you want it forever no matter what. That means if you are getting someone's name, or something to honour a person, you should make sure that you want that tattoo and you want to remember them no matter what they may or may not do to you. That means even if they break your heart.

I like tattoos, and I wouldn't mind getting a tattoo that was representitive of someone I loved, but I wouldn't get a name. I don't need people's names all over my body.

What if the person dies? You'd have a daily reminder of someone who died, even if it never went past boyfriend/girlfriend.

If they meant enough to you to get it tattooed on you for life, surely they'd mean even more in death?

Because no one ever gets a memorial tattoo. Just like I'm certainly not getting one in 57 days.
