Darin walked in and looked around, it had been a long time since he had actually slept in a bedroom. He walked to the bed and poked the mattress, feeling it's splightly springy surface. He climbed up and flopped over, feeling the springs and fluff cushion him. He smiled
"A bed Yelgan," he said to his dog, who was sitting by the door, "A real bed!"
Yelgan paced quietly over to the bed and sniffed it. He looked up at the boy and cocked his head.
"Yes, the mind girl... Iaran," he said, "She said we could sleep here."
The dog perked his ears and looked at the other bed.
"I don't know," Darin said and looked at the bed too, "One of the other guys probably," then he smiled, "Come on up here boy."
The dog put his forepaws on the bed and sniffed it's surface. Then he jumped up and sat on the bed. His tounge hung out as he smiled.
"Yeah, she is nice," Darin agreed with his friend, "Most people wouldn't care, or even notice that somethings going on here. But she's like me," he paused, "Kind of, she has powers too, all of them do, but why would we meet each other now, the book didn't say anything about this."
Yelgan lowered his head and laid down on the bed.
"Yeah, your right," Darin said, running a hand through his hair, "It dosen't matter now, it has begun, all that is left for us to do, is walk the path before us,... where ever it may lead."
