I don't like seeing things like this because it isn't natrual. It's an abnormality and a pretty serious one at that. Animals and humans with abnormalities such as this don't tend to survive all that long, and if they do they will be subjected to abuse by others (humans). I just don't like it and it upsets me. I'm not having a go at you for posting this, I just don't like seeing this sort of thing.

So long as it's not induced by man it is technically natural. It happens in nature. They recently found a fossil of a two headed lizard, so it's been happening far beyond when humans got involved. Normal is a rather subjective term, i've yet to see nor meet anything or anyone that falls under the idea of 'normal'.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. However, what I meant by it not being normal is that it isn't normal in the sense that its abnormality will prevent it from working in the way a properly formed face will. And this upsets me.

What bothers me the most about animals and humans with abnormalities, aside from their short lifespan, is the exploitation around it. It makes news, it makes sideshows, it makes money. That's the problem, in my opinion.

Yeah, there's that too. I really hate that. They aren't freakshows, you know! Geez, what some people do...and most of it is simply to make money. It's quite sick.

i agree with all of this completely...
and the reason it makes me sad is because every time i see a beautiful animal that is born deformed, i know that they will most likely die very soon.

I can remember when everyone was going "d'aww!" at this kitten with a deformed face. Yes, it looked oddly cute but I couldn't really see its cuteness as all I could think about was how it would probably very likely die. After a few weeks, it DID die.

^ Agreed that. I wish it could just.. be left alone. I mean gosh, although I know the little piggy (or piggies?) doesn't even know its making news, if I was deformed I wouldn't wanna be.. uh.. passed around?

I hope it doesnt' die. :{

I, for one, think it's freaking adorable, no strings attached.

Not...just...you...

But now that I've figured out which is what, I think it's pretty cute. I do feel awfully sorry for it though.

Of course, Sandra's never actually met me yet. ;) Hehehe, I couldn't resist. *hands Sandra a cookie*

Poor little piggy, I bet his brothers and sisters are teasing him. Though, since it is considered a blessing by the Chinese farmer, my guess is that the little guy will be well taken care of.

Psh.

You guys are so mean, calling it a deformity!! Imagine a pig with no snout. How terrible would that be? They could like, do loads of things.

So a pig with one snout is better than that.

But a pig with two snouts? OMG pwnage. If theres any animal i wouldn't go toe-2-toe with, its that one.

This is totally evolution. :P
