I really like how they are giving us these updates. It makes waiting for the prizes so much easier and lets us know that the whole thing is actually being worked on. Good job, TNT!

*Pokes bandwidth lack that can't be denied or disputed (remember fighting the enemy in last stages of this plot).* They don't need a lady from Nick. They need someone to tell them when they are doing something for 'not the benefit of the company nor the people that support that company's existance' (not to veer off topic or appear too far out). Really. It is getting out of hand with this "chose free/with ads over paid without ads" service. A change of management that makes the games room look like Teletubbies XP default Windows is not an improvement, no matter what demographic you cater to. Again, I know I sound crazy to many, but make sense to some. Is the tiny reason I feel 'almost ok' to post this.

EDIT: I mean really, how much do 100 more servers cost? (Plus a few people to setup and maintain them)? I or we as PPTers could practically raise the money by 'donation' or 'begging' rather than paying for ad-free.

EDIT: In case I probably seem very off topic I am mainly 'ranting' because I really wanted to participate more in the 'fighting' part that I admit my pets aren't exactly equipped for, but I was at heart. I am just a little disappointed that as MUCH as TNT does to please us and as hard as they do work, they allow themselves to be 'lead' by 'more' profit when they already have more than enough OR can create more by different (less exploitative) means. They create this and make this happen, yet give their power over all too easily to some big company executive. Again, I am not like one of those people think MTV is evil or whatever. I just seen the change in business and psychology after 2 years of playing.

Considering servers cost multiple thousands of dollars each, I'd say a lot.

Considering the amount of Premium payers, that should be mostly solved by now, since it should have been prepared for long ago, mainly 'growth.'

I appreciate the estimation, and I assumed similarly, and please don't get me wrong, Cranberry we are on the same side, I love Neopets and TNT (specifically the Humans that make it exist). I am just worried about a few things that seem to be deterring SOME users (even devout ones) and I also admit this is not the thread to post my opinions on it (and perhaps inappropriate for PPT, unless someone is allowed a rant/debate thread like such) and I apologize if I made anyone feel defensive or something. Again I am not angry or wanting to start debate, but I do realize I sound that way. Trust me, I am on the verge of sleep. It must be a culmination of the last months feelings I have had on such and reading PPT threads related or similar but that I didn't respond to. Translation: I am emotional.

BTW: I can build a server for about $2000 I bet. ;) (Just depends how big, of course.) :P

EDITED: Important monetary inflation digit (a zero) while I was feeding my cat. But I could maybe build a small cheap 'server' from used parts for 200 lol.

It doesn't stop at the servers, though. They have to get them set up, and they'd have to pay people to do that... and then there's power to run all of them (they're on constantly, so that eats up a lot of power), and space to put them in, and then more bandwidth, too. So it would be a lot of money, much more than we PPTers could hope to fundraise. ;)

I get what you're saying. But yeah, I don't think this is the right place.

Hahahahaha. Anjuna, let's not get frustrated here. The plot has past us, there's nothing to be done now but wait and wait for the prizes. Really, can we complain when the prizes haven't even been released yet? Because generally speaking, that's where all the complaints are going to be derived from. =D

Wed Dec 13, 2006 6:27 am

Also, they wouldn't have made the lists longer, as TNT enjoys seeing us suffer ;)

 In all benevolent thanks for your reassurance, don't get me talking about the Altador vs. LDP plot prizes. (Crap vs. Royally Very Nice and Worthy, then again I am only a 2 year user and rambling off-topic to sleep).

On that note, I have come to expect nothing and everything from TNT. 'Cause they reward us so well sometimes!. :) And usually make up for any lack in our 'expectations' even though that is not even their 'job'. ;) However, I wish Altador gave out better random things, not just the same deflating items, like another Tombola or something. Oh well.

EDIT: And yeah to clarify I don't really have any major complaints, at least I don't know why I brought my sentiments to forum. Again I think I am just overly prone to posting due to too much reading past PPT threads. And to further clarify, even though I just compared prizes, I was not even thinking of such for this plot (especially after The Altador Disappointment lol). I never expected to get such nice prizes from the LDP, yet I also expected not to get such mediocre at best from Altador. The Tale of Woe was fun in and of itself, not too difficult as to make me want to quit (like the LDP was more worth pushing my limits, I guess) so I don't care if there are no prizes. I am just still burned by that Water Plant!

I agree with pretty much everything you've said, anjuna.

But well anyway, I'm kinda annoyed at them giving us the plot solutions, although I have no idea why. There's no reason for me to be annoyed, I just am. Maybe I'm just miffed that I didn't get to mark any graves. That still gets me that I didn't get to mark one single grave. I'm not anxious for plot prizes because I'm afraid I'll be disappointed by my score.

Not that I didn't love this plot, because I did. I'm just not in a good mood tonight, or something. XD

I really enjoyed reading the solutions, it was nice to see how the whole plot worked. Although it seems a lot shorter when all written down like that... must be because the battle sections were like "they battled this" rather than 8 pages talking about lag and the joy of endlessly beating up shadows ;)

I think it's a cute addition to keep while away the time before prizes, and I do like how they're keeping us updated and stuff *claps*

Hurrah!

Wed Dec 13, 2006 3:08 pm

it wuld have been nice if they'd actually listed the challengers and put the pictures on the page - i didnt get to see some of them because the lag in the battledome was so huge!

Wed Dec 13, 2006 6:33 pm

Yay for updates!

I like it that TNT gives us updates about the plot, instead of not hearing about it for months and then suddenly getting the prizes:)

Plus, I love the dancing meepit :D

Wed Dec 13, 2006 7:42 pm

It would have been nice if they had included pictures of the various forms Bruno and the Meowclops took while testing Sophie's potions. Honestly, those bits were my favorite parts of the plot. :)

Wed Dec 13, 2006 10:40 pm

Yay for the Ghost Meepits.... I was horribly bombarded by images of the Psionic something or other portion of the Potion making... I was definately under the impression that the cell doors had blood on them; not rust... eh oh well. Yay for TNT giving us updates and such.

Don't worry about it. Gravemarking didn't count for any points. I didn't do any, either.
