I have heard of dogs attacking squirrels but this is strange.

It's sad :(

What a horrible way to go...bitten to death by a bunch of squirrels. Poor dog.

Poor puppy. :(

(Note to self: do not mess with hungry Russian squirrels...assuming this really happened.)

Poor dog. :(

A pine cone shortage? That's interesting, because the idea of squirrels eating a dog for their missing protein is a little extreme.

That's horrible; I feel really sad for that dog.

And we always knew squirrels were evil.

Well I'll never look at squirrels the same way again. That poor doggie.

Obviously you have never seen the Discovery channel program "When Squirrels Attack". The weird thing is, is that i'm totally serious. That show exists. Some grey squirrels in like Maine or something in the US were attacking people.
Crazy stuff.
A beaver in Edmonton killed a german shepherd a few years ago. *shudder*

We had a couple of squirrels kill a cat here once. They used to drop acorns out of trees and hit students walking home through the forest's round my house too.

I was actually thinking about that thread while reading this one.

But you have to admit, that was pretty funny.

Oh noes! Solanum has modified itself for use in animals!

That really stinks. Poor old dog.

:P I actually laughed, poor dog indeed, alas, I wonder, if the squirrels had turned to cannibalism, would you all feel just as bad? Or worse? What did the poor ickle, little doggy have to look forward to in the future? I suppose, you know, being chewed to death by a flock of squirrels isn't the best way to go...

On the other hand, I could only think of Dyl (being eaten by squirrels).

Nah, they wouldn't eat me :) .
I find this story very interesting, simply for the fact it's interesting. Certainly an odd occurrence.
I'll only say the dog was working with the pandas *shiftyeyes*.

A pity the squirrels don't have enough food, though. And the dog, poor dog.
