As we all know, the Advent Calendar will be coming soon. To keep with my tradition, I will post my annual pre-Advent Calendar Speculation Thread. So, what do you guys think we'll get this year? What would you like to get this year? What did you think about last year's Calendar and lastly, post any theories about the winter sidebar.

I'll start: As always, I want plushies, petpets and faerie items. A good battledome item is always good too. Somehow I think this year we will get a lot of plot related items. I wasn't too particularly pleased with last year's calendar. They gave out a lot of items that I just didn't collect. About the sidebar, I have no idea.

Everyone loves a good paintbrush. 0:)

The obvious would be a Christmas paint brush, but maybe an Ice brush? or petpet brushes? or introducing a petpetpet brush?

I dont really like getting useless items, like clothing or gift category stuff. You cant do anything with them. Even though there were a lot of furniture/toys last year, and none of it ridiculously fantastic, they could at least be used in some way. I think I still have 6 Christmas trees, lights, and whatever else up in the 'always Christmas cause Im too lazy to change it' neohome room.

I really like snowglobes. They've given them out for the past few years, so another one this year is likely too. Maybe a plot one, since they did have Lost Desert and Darkest Faerie snowglobes given out last year. Books are good too, but an actual holiday related one would be nice. Im not that thrilled to get species related items, unless they're wearing scarves or in gingerbread form or something.

Hopefully the animations are as good as last year. I loved that one with the annoying Coconut Shy guy.

I've been wondering about the gift/ clothes as well. Clothes especially. What's the point? They talk about all thier database issues as the reason they can't do things, then why not convert useless items like clothes into NP or something useful like books or some item that won't upset the neo-economy and get rid of the category. ~And of course *Cough Cough Neoschool items Cough* :D

Last years animations were really good! i hope this year's ones can keep up.
i'm looking for them to give out codestone, particularly the eo, to reduce thier price. books are good too. and they've always given out really cool toys
of course, everyone wants battle items and paintbrushes too

I'm hoping for a bunch of plushies since I collect them. :) Snowglobes and furniture are cool. I don't really do much with furniture since I don't really use my neohome all that much. Paintbrushes would be nice of course. ;)

Paintbrushes would obviously be great; it would be nice if the winter sidebar was a gift too, for those trying to refresh for it all the time :P Other than that some Nova themed items, an avatar, plushies or some decent furniture would be cool too.

As for animations, I really liked the animation for when they gave out white Onas, where the Onas would dance. I wish I had saved it to my computer. If anyone has it feel free to let me know ;).

What a fun thread! I'd like a nice paintbrush, as maplesugar said, a Christmas or ice or even snow one would be nice and in-theme. Codestones always welcome, and it would be nice to have an avy or two, cash injection, books, and/or a special battledome challenger.

A petpet! Anything Christmas-related; I didn't like the pirate-themed gifts that were given out, they can come out at any time. But still, it's free items and usually nice animations, I shouldn't be picky. :P Though I am just happy so long as I get myself a petpet and some Christmasy things.

Last years prizes seemed to be hand made, some of them. Also it was a lot of good food and plushies.

I really liked last year's theme.

One year I'd like to see each world participate in the advent calender. That is, you get prizes from different places around neopia. They should be unique and seasonal, but you can tell which world they came from. For example

Kreludar:

Floating Star decoration: this star floats in place and looks lovely.

Floating Plate of Cookies: Santa will be really impressed with this plate of cookies, he won't even have to bend over to pick them up.

Moon Fruit Cake: This fruitcake was baked in a hot crator, and is filled with all sorts of fruits that are out of this world.

Lunar Greetings: Things are celebrated a bit differently on the moon!

Grooming Device: This device might look a bit scary, but it can bathe and dry your pet. It suctions all the hair and water away so you aren't left with a mess.

Meridell:

Corn Husk Doll: This doll is just made of corn husks, so you need to be gentle with it.

Hoop-and-stick: A hoop off of a barrel and a stick! What a wonderful toy...I think.

Meridell Bread Pudding: One of the better deserts from Meridell, this is made of left-over bread, egg custard, and spices. If you are lucky you might get some raisins in yours.

Faerie Land:
Pastel Poinsettia: Pastel pink and green, this pionsettia plant is very cute for your neogarden.

Faerie Tower of boxes: A tower of boxes shaped like the faerie tower, each filled with a different tasty candy made by the faeries in faerie city.

Knowledge Through Eating: The Book Store Faerie made this lovely cake in the shape of a book. She says it will make you smarter!

Haunted Woods:

Winter Holiday Anagrams by Eliv Thade

Hollow Tree Decoration: This hollow tree has several holes in its trunk that you can fill with candles and decorations, or just hide small treasures or gifts in it.

Festive Toilet Paper: You can use this to annoy the brain tree, or use it in the battledome!

Caroling Gilly Plushie: Gilly wants to sing you a carol, so be sure you don't ever pull the string.

Caroling Sophie Plushie: You better listen to her, or she will turn you into a mortog. PULL THE STRING NOW!

Caroling Reginald Plushie: He has a nice voice, but he uses such big words you can't understand what he is singing about.

Miniture Meepit Acres game: Wander the halls searching for clues in this fun and challenging game.

Meepit Acres the Prequel game: Play as a nurse, doctor, or gardener as you try to keep your patients happy and well cared for. If you make a mistake, turn the board over for a new scene and try to escape with your life or leave clues for others to find.

Don't wake Bruno game: Bruno isn't in a good mood, don't wake him up.

Kiko Lake:

Lots of furniture and candy.

Krawk Island:

Dig for free card: This card entitles you to dig for free. You can only use it a certain number of times, and then it expires.

Free training Card: You can use this card to redeem some free training from Capt. Three Legs.

Chocolate filled Dubloon O Matic toy:
This toy is filled with chocolate dubloons that you can eat.
(this works like an omelette, so you can use it four times before it empties, so all your pets should have a turn to play with it.)

Empty Dubloon O Matic Toy:
You can imagine it still works.

Tyrannia:

Huge Leg of Meat: This huge leg of meat is enough to satisfy any meat eater. When you get through eating the meat, you have a lovely Huge Bone!

Huge Bone: Oh wow, what a huge bone!
(Also I'd like them to make it so you can play with the bone. It would say "You gnaw on the bone.")

Cave Painting Kit: This kit comes with all the materials you need to paint the wall of a cave.

Lair of the beast pop-up book: Even the youngest pet can read this. It only has one word! Raaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr!

Lair of the beast jack in the box: This is one is so scary. You never know when the beast will pop out!

Eggless Chocolate Omelette: Everything you love about omelette, with none of the annoying egg stuff.
(Basically, it is just chocolate. What a concept, hehe.)

Eggless Meat Omelette: If you just pick the meat out of your omelette anyway, then you'll love this.

Eggless Veggie Omelette: Everything you love about veggie omelettes, but with none of the annoying egg getting in the way of your yummy veggies.

Huge Pile of Yummy Leaves: It will take your vegetarian pet forever to eat all this!
(works like an omelette, with several servings)

Mystery Island:

Cranberry, Pineapple, Coconut Cake: What a christmasy and islandy tasting cake!

Coconut and Peppermint oil lotion: Smelly Christmasy and Islandy all at the same time!

Cranberry, Pineapple, Coconut Juice: What a great combonation!

Peppermint-Cocoa Juppie: A lovely mint chocolate juppie!

CranBan: a weird fruit that tastes like cranberries and bananas!

Deserted Recipes: This book was found in geraptiku and contains recipes for foods you've never heard of!

Funnydew and Peppermint ice cream: The minty ice cream that smiles back at you, watch out for the seeds.

Funnydew and Cranberry sauce: Each little slice of sauce is smiling at you, watch out for the seeds.

Christmas Predictions: Will you have good luck this year? The island mystic knows.

Tombola Man Foot Soak: After standing around all day, the Tombola man knows how to releave tire aching feet.

Qasala:

Queela filled Chocolates: These are filled with Queela in the middle!

Queela and Cranberry Garland: Yellow queela seeds and cranberrys make a pretty garland to decorate with!

Ancient Holiday Traditions: A book on how pets had fun years and years ago.

Ancient Holiday Recipes: A book of old recipes from Qasala's beginnings.

Sakhmet:

Sand Turkey: Edible Sand flavored with turky stock and spices and shaped into a turkey!

Meatless Sand Turkey: Edible Sand flavored with veggie stock and spices and shaped into a turkey!

Peppermint Pottery: Osiris made this lovely peice for your neohome.

Warm Scented Blanket: This cosy herbal scented blanket might cure your sick pet.

Maraqua:

Seaweed and Peppermint Candy: Seaweed and peppermint taste a little odd together, but it isn't bad at all.

Chocolate covered Seaweed: This Chocolate covered dried seaweed is a crunchy as toffee.

Cranberry and Seaweed salad: A nice salad made of cranberries and seaweed.

Turfishin: A small fish stuffed with seaweed is stuffed into a larger fish. This is then stuffed into a small chicken, which is then stuffed into a turkey.

(My variation on the Turduckin.

Stuffed Coral Tubes: Crunchy coral tubes stuffed with seaweed and other goodies!

Conch of Plenty: This Conch shell has plenty of food in it!

Mother of Pearl Comb: A beautiful shimmering comb to groom your pet with.

Maraquan Maracas: A fun toy that makes a rather surprising watery swishing sound.

Coral Brittle: Tastes like peanut brittle only made with brittle coral.

Shell Castanets: These make a nice click clack sound.

Coral Flute: If you play this flute near the ocean, you might call up a new friend.

Brightvale:

Seasonal King Hagan Plushie

brightvalele berry and Peppermint cookies: Lovely brightvale berry cookies filled with peppermint cream.

Stained Glass Cake: A lovely vanilla sheet cake covered in thin flat peices of candy to look like stained glass.

Cranberry Mote: Throw this in the battledome to cover your foe in sticky sweet red juice. It is a water attack.

Cranberry Potion: King Hagan says Cranberrys are good for you.
Use this in the battledome to heal yourself.

Wheel of Knowledge cake:
Each peice makes you smarter! All I know is that it sure tastes good!

How to learn over Christmas: It is so easy to get distracted over the holidays. But you can learn something if you....Oh boy! Here comes the pie!

I'd like an Advent Calendar-exclusive petpet (you know, like Snow Kookith) or a totally new petpet or a petpet piece of furniture or a Christmas petpet avatar or something petpet related :roflol:

Last year, I totally LOVED the Calendar animation where Tomos and Nabile are under the mistletoe, Nabile runs off and Tomos almost kisses Sloth :roflol: I wish I had that animation; does anyone have a link to that? If so, thanks :D

Oh yeah, the WINTER SIDEBAR!!!
