That's actually totally the right way to fight, if you can manage it! My pet's strong enough to absorb a hit, so I just go all out with my main attacker, bomb and berserk for a one-hit kill. The idea is to get in as many battles as you can in the shortest possible time, so if you can manage a one-hit kill without dying, go for it!

I tried that last night but it was just as bad... But today seems a little better so hopefully you will have more luck than I did.

You make it sound like the lag has completely eradicated. =P Don't get me wrong - the lag is not as bad as it was during the gravestones, but saying the lag is better doesn't necessarily mean much when the lag was horrendous to start with. But, I suppose one can fight while just surfing the net. That's how I've gotten my 9 wins so far...-_-

YAY! After countless tries and white pages, I finally scored a kill against the elm (the weakest one) - took 'em out in one hit. Unfortunately it was all of 15hp's that I managed to strike him by. So it might have to be to training for me, or to bow out of the war altogether :(

The BD does seem a little better right now. I managed to do 1 fight without white pages. Now I'm trying to defeat each tree at least once so I've had them all. I get the feeling this wave of trees will be done with on tuesday and then the next wave will come.

Sun Nov 05, 2006 11:39 am

:o you guys seem to have it better but me over here has killed the first tree over five times but its not getting recorded because the &^#*% white page shows up at the end!
i swear when this war is over they should have white page of doom challenger at 1hp to start with so i can beat the hell out of 'em lol
i have only goten two fights done and i tryed over a zillion times..*sigh* im not goin to do any good on this wave.

ok i'm almost maxed out with Savage Sycamore.i've done him 60 wins. He's having like 374 hp and dealing me abt 100 damage each turn(almost).luckily its not so laggy now.bring on the next wave baby.

Sun Nov 05, 2006 2:53 pm

This is a good one:

ERROR : Oops! - your opponent doesn't exist!

I am soooo mad, because I lost to a Black Elm, and there is no way that should have happened! I entered the fight, it lagged forever, and then without making any moves I got the you lose screen. :x

Sun Nov 05, 2006 3:00 pm

Lol, managed to beat Savage Sycamore with just 3/315 left. Never realised bd did not register my previous win and I continued to fight the next round with only 100+HP when it had 248 / 248 :o

On the 1st day of each month we will be doing scheduled maintenance on the Battledome to help speed things up. This means that you will not be able to challenge anyone between 2.25 am and 2.35am (NST).

I don't know whether thats feasible or not, buf it that is feasible, I hope TNT could implement it, instead of once per month, perhaps could be once per 12 hours, during the plot/war/peak at battledome, to help decreasing the lag...

I hate when that happens. I accidentally went into a battle with him and I only had 17hp. My face was like this: O.O

In related news, I'm very close to maxing out the sycamore around 100. I was hoping to eke out a few more, but I don't want to get to the point where I lose. xD

OH MY GOD THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS. I've gotten to the "You win!" page 4 times in a row and they aren't being recorded.

We do not know what kind of maintenance is going on during that time. It may not have anything to do with the kind this kind of slowdown, and it may serve no purpose whatsoever to do it more than once a month.

Capi ended up getting kicked out of the battle entirely (well, I finally withdrew her), and I had to start over, and she still had missing hitpoints, as though whatever he'd hit me with during the blank page had stuck. :x This is obviously not your fault, and I'm sure your method works for most people, but for whatever reason, it's not helping me much at all. But thanks. :)

..erm.. I never actually said any of that, did I? Of course back and forward will give you the same pages. I was saying to add the battledome page to the "Links" part of your folder. It works as a shortcut, rather than going through a bunch of pages (even with the back button) when you've finished a page, and if the battle messes up it's a quick way to start over.

*rolls out of bed*

*blinks stupidly at the screen*

*facepalm*

But I thought you... Augh. Sorry, my bad.

http://www.neopets.com/battledome/fight ... me=petname

see the link after fightid ? it's always resetted after the "maintanance" so it will be starting from 0 or 1 again, it basically "clear" up somethings...

one of the purpose keeping the fight id is to monitor the "language" using in bd, but I think that won't be as bad as in neoboards, have you ever heard people getting frozen because using bad language in bd? The possibility of happening is low I think (it's still possible).

;__;

My pet got bloated from feeding it everytime I want to fight, so no more fighting for me today...

It doesnt appear in the drop down list anymore :P
