Hee, no. That's never how it works... much more likely that the weak pets have maxed out (many of them are finding the trees hard because they heal) and now there are mostly stronger battlers left. That's what always happens during wars; there are fewer big battlers than weak ones, so by later (harder) waves, there's barely any lag at all.

Also, it's getting later in North America, so a lot of younger players are going to bed.
How hard do you suppose the opponents will get? What have you seen in the past?

These are links to writeups about previous wars.

I think all of them have the enemies/difficulties listed if you scroll down. The closest one to what we're doing now is probably Battle for Meridell, or maybe even Champions of Meridell... but this is a new kind of "war" that's not really a war at all, so we have no idea what's next.

Thank you for that! I know that it is a new thing but since I wasn't around I wanted to see what has been done in the past just for the knowledge. I also just wanted to see in the past how the battles progressed so I could make a guess on how much further my pet may be able to go.

Wow. The battle is much less laggy as of 10:30 NST.
I even got 10+ battles with the Savage Sycamore! Not one loss yet!!!

I have managed to get into several battledome fights, but I can't complete any of them, due to the lag.

So no score for the trees.
So far I've only managed to beat the stones 27, 27, 28 times. Could have done alot more than that.
Sun Nov 05, 2006 7:02 am
Thank god for this lag-break. Hopefully it's not because of the hour, but because people are unable to beat em anymore.

So far I've fought about 5 with no issue other than a little slow. No white pages or opponents/pets not existing.... knock on wood....
Edit: Nevermind, hello white page.
Edit again: AHHHH no fair I only have half my HP!! o.o *plays defense for the first time all war*

This is fun without the lag, but I'm thinking its lag free cause of the late hour.
Sun Nov 05, 2006 7:10 am
It's because of the hour almost 60% positive. Savage Sycamore is starting to block more making the battle last that longer but I been pretty lucky so far the only white screens are when I start. Might as well get as many battles as you can now.

guys i need your suggestions.i am currently at 200 strength boost, the qns is shld i continue to lab my pet and risk its strength being deducted or shld i stop?
Sun Nov 05, 2006 8:00 am
If you're at 200 exactly I'd stop, but if you're 203 or more keep going. I think the most strength the lab takes away is 3..?
Edit: OK lag's back with a vengeance, gonna call it a night. :/ I'd LOVE to get CLOSE to maxing out an opponent ONCE this war. ;-; *throws things in a tantrum*

I doubt that. My pet’s not really “super” (level 50), but I’ve been averaging one successful fight every two to three hours. I doubt a higher level would improve that.
I think if it's any less laggy, it's because some people have given up completely.
Sun Nov 05, 2006 8:46 am
Agreed. I've been literally playing all day and I have not even broke 10 fights yet.
Sun Nov 05, 2006 9:04 am
This is definitely not the right way of fighting but to try to avoid the lag, I try taking out the components using one hit only (that is by completely not defending and give my best shot right at the beginning)...that way there won't be as many refreshes and it minimizes the risk of getting blank page....but of course this tactic won't work when the opponents get too strong....
(Oh, and I also wake up at 3am my time to get some fights done to avoid the 'lag peak' during the day...)
Sun Nov 05, 2006 9:50 am
I find from about 9PM NST onwards, the lag dies down to a tolerable amount
As a side-note, does anybody else think of Pocahontas when they fight the Savage Sycamore ?
