Weird - Thanks, I'll try that.

Edit: Great, that worked quickly. What a waste of time I had, though; I'll have to write to one of the mods to ask them to put it into the instructions. Thanks so much again

No problem, now if only I could figure out the dang vines!

*going crazy*

Hmm, maybe PM or IM me. Might be better if I walked you though? Or let me know which part you don't understand. It is pretty fail-proof. If there is a mistake, I might be able to help if you tell me more what you did or if you didn't understand anything. If it is simple, you can just post here, too.

EDIT: It sounds like your rope is just not strong enough. If you went through the process, you might only need one more strong vine, so start back from left to right as displayed, add one, and recheck the message. Or you might want to start over. It doesn't take that long. If anything else is unclear in my instructions, just let me know. :)

If anyone else is still having difficulty with the vines... I did the "add one until the message changes" method, but it didn't work all the way, so I just watched how long the rope got (in the cliff scene) as I added vines; it gets visibly longer as you add them :)
I didn't know it could be *too* long though, so I guess try my method with caution?

Meepits part was easy after that stupid vine fiasco, IMO.

Good advice. :) If there is an error in my method, it is only based on the assumption that the first 2-3 vine types seemed to produce strength and the last 2-3 length, in which case perhaps my order is not good enough. From left to right as displayed I figured it was a sure shot. Sorry if not!

EDIT: Still, from the message, it seems strength is needed? Not length (yet, if at all)?

I felt that the artwork for Ilere in this chapter left something to be desired. Her face was oddly shaped. But yeah, I agree, Sophie is awesome :)

Do you just need strength to get to the cliff scene? I managed to get there once but forgot how many of each vine I had and it was too long and the monster took it and I had to start over. Now i'll stuck again.

Whew, after all that time stuck at a dead end, it only took a half hour to finish everything after I got unstuck. I knew I'd love the Meepits. I made all my little brothers and sister come watch them dance, and they thought I was insane :)

I love this new chapter too. Sophie is so great. I want to give her a hug.

OMG! Total Fluke!

I had 3 6 0 2 1 and managed to get to the cliff but it wasn't long enough so I added more Gross vines till it was just right!!!

Final number - 3 6 0 5 1

Just FYI, for my vines part my number was 6 4 0 0 6. When I tried 6 6 0 0 6, the monster stole my vines. And again, thank you "helpful hint".

susannahmio, I added you to MSN if you are still awake for a walkthrough. Sorry I am slow typer. And was making a snack. Heh. If you forgot something along the way, sure way to screw up. ;) No offense but sersiously, a method like mine is meant to save you time, given you understand it beforehand and pay attention to what you are doing all along the way. Less clicks. :)

From your description, I am unsure what your numbers mean, as in numbers of each vine, or the types of vine. I am also unsure of your last question, and forgive me if I am just very tired and dense now, lol.

You should, for lack of inspiration on how to revise my instructions now lol, re-read them. Perhaps give me a more detailed description of any one step. Either you are very confused or I am. Either way I am willing to help. Drop all the vines, start with 0-0-0-0-0. In neat piles, left to right as shown on the panel and in Quest Inventory. Then, ONE BY ONE, start with the FIRST type (left to right again) and ONE BY ONE check the message inbetween. On the first try, of course it is just a matter of "not enough vines at all" so stop AFTER the last vine needed to get a message of just more than nothing. It may be 1 it may be 5 ot 6. Just stick with the first type. Then just do the same all the way down the line for the other 5 types of vines. The only difference is you clearly have enough vines now, you are just strengthening with the first few and lengthing with the last few. I hope that makes a little more sense and apologize if it makes less.

EDIT: And woot that you just got it, and I feel so slow I shall sleep soon.

I am so confused about this whole thing! I have all my vines and I'm at the clearing. I've been setting vines down one at a time and clicking on the clearing. No combinations have worked so far, and I finally get a message asking what am I going to do with so few vines? So, how do we get to the cliff scene first, to see the rope being made? Is that really how we're supposed to move on?

Edit: I posted at the same time as you anjuna; I'm in the woods, not at the cliff, but I'll try what you said.

cslewislover, phew okay calm down. :) Try re-reading the instructions and example of my post on the previous page again. Yes, at first you will get the message it is not enough, adding only one. Again, if you just keep on, adding one by one of only one type at a time (left to right for strenght vs. length) you SHOULD just get it and on your last click be surprised. Heh. The only error in the method could be the middle vine type but I am pretty sure simply maths and logics should to it nonetheless.

Or PM or IM me if you need a simple walk thru. More like a start on the right track, and you should get it in almost no time at all.

EDIT: susannahmio just gave me a great clue. Apparently my method is not foolproof and I am the fool. :P Oh well. Maybe try, after going thru all the vine types once looking for changing messages, on your second round, not only add but subtract one of a certain type. See if that helps?

Thanks, anjuna. So far I went through the whole thing once, but my code isn't a " 6 6 6 1 0" type, apparently, so I'll have to keep trying with skipping some. I believe that's what I'm supposed to do. Heh.

edit: Oh, well, I've read your instructions over and will try all that. Obviously you went to a lot of effort on it! When I first saw them I didn't understand yet, since I hadn't gotten as far as I am now.
