Two things I want to mention:

#1. When I was trying to find the stick in the woods I had to talk to the Hissi before my stick appeared in the bushes and I could pick it up to put in my inventory.

#2. Meepit juice break will work in Zen Mode but you get 1 point for every meepit you feed. I suggest that if like me you have never played the game before you practice as much as you can in zen mode and try connecting from the meepit to the juice rather than the other way around.

Good luck everyone!

That happened to me also, Enigma. It was actually on the very next screen I visited after talking to the Hissi heads, so it wasn't trouble backtracking. Good observations :)

for those of you having problems with Meetpit Juice Break, I suggest doing the game backwards. Start at the Meepit and work the pipes to the juice rather than trying to connect the juice to the Meepit. That is what I did after a couple tries of dying after a little over 300 points and it worked great.

Here are examples of pencil-and-paper maps - they're very consise, and really don't take very long to make. (These don't stretch my screen, but if they stretch anyone else's, feel free to change them into links...)

Here's the link to my post on mapping: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 067#643067

Anyone previously stuck at an irrepairable dead end should now be able to progress. Any future dead ends, should they occur, should be solveable with a simple Refresh of the page displacing you to a random area.

Any other irrepairable problems can be PM'd or neomailed to anjuna (same user name on PPT as on neopets). Please be sure to state your exact problem and include your neopets user name only. Thanks. :)

Location: Antarctica or space...you get the idea already.
If you're wondering, a sad meepit means that its spot is most likely located at the opposite end of the side that it's on. A normal looking meepit is halfway between its spot and the spot on the opposite end.

Finally, i got my vine combo. it took forever to do :P I must have tried like at least 100 combos. I kept on getting, it's too long. So i just adjusted the first one. Then if it was too short, i just added some of the last ones. Finally it worked :D I'm happy :D

What I did was get rid of all but the second one, and tried that...I can't remember what it said after that though. Then I just added one of the last set of vines I had...the strength ratio thing went up a bit. So I added another...up to four. At four it took me to the next scene but it said the vine was too short...so I just started adding other vines one by one until it was long enough. :D It took a while...but it finally worked. One time I put one too many of one vine and had to remove it, but other than that it worked pretty well. :D

Well, it looks like now we get to ask the people in the Haunted Woods things!

I've been clicking around the shopkeepers. ...except the big "to be continued " thing at the end of the comic makes me think I'm probably wasting my time ;)

Sorry to repost this here fully, but I am too tired/lazy to find my old post. It is not that long anyway. For a most systematic approach to the vines, most people having trouble (without lucky logic) should try the following. Instead of starting out with the commonly touted "all 6 of one type of vine" (as you can spend more time than you need to, if the type you start with you happen to need none of at all), start with 0-0-0-0-0 and work up.

Quote:
1. Collect all 30 vines. Find your clearing. Drop all vines into the neatest piles you can, from left to right as they are presented for least confusion.

2. Start with Icky Vines first. Add one. Click the background message. It will tell you have too few. Add one at a time of only Icky Vines, checking the message inbetween adding each one. Stop adding when the message changes.

3. Add Rotting Vines one at a time, checking the message inbetween adding each one. If your message changes to a less favorable one than before, discard the vine you just put on that created the unfavorable change.

4. Repeat in this same fashion for Crumbling Vines, Gross Vines, and Decaying Vines. Stick with one type, adding one at a time, checking the message inbetween. It should gradually become both stronger and longer. If at any point along the way the message changes unfavorably, discard the last vine you added.

5. For example, I needed 5 Icky, 4 Rotting, 0 Crumbling, 0 Gross, and all 6 Decaying to make it long enough and "fairly" strong. Even just one Crumbling or Gross made my rope weaker. After this, I simply went back to start, again adding one at a time across the board. It happened I only needed 1 more Icky (total of 6-4-0-0-6) when I finally solved the step.

(snip images)

Yeah, that's about what my maps looked like, too. I had to do one for myself, and then help my daughter make one for her account. One thing that helped me was to get a green marker and put a tiny dot of green on each tree, so it was easier to scan the page looking for a match for the screen I'd just landed on. Is that too OCD?
