ARGH! I'm getting flashbacks to mapping the LDP.
Just wanted to say thanks for the help on here.
After about 2 hours I've reached the point of the dancing meepits. Kudos to whomever figured this out in the first place!

Hey does anyone know why I get an error message when I try going into the cave? It says there's a "fatal error".

Mon Oct 16, 2006 4:04 am

For the vines I started with none and kept adding one of each following the message change. Took a bit to make it long enough but didn't get the monster that takes all the vines away (my combo was 2 6 1 1 6).

Didn't map the high woods but I ended up doing it for the bottom here's a tip for people drawing out there maps USE COLOR at least draw whatever your using for trees in green it makes it much easier when you map to scan over your gride and see if you have been to that part before I also did my straits paths in red so I wouldn't get them mixed up with the curves Hopes this help folks maping

Phew! Finally, my meepits dance! I hope they come out with another update tomorrow, I have another day off from work!

As an aside, my vine count was I believe 3-0-0-6-6. As per PPT suggestion, I first got all 30 vines and then separated them out into piles and went at it systematically. The gross and decaying vines were just strong enough to hold Bruno's weight, but not long enough to reach the ground, so I added a few random vines.

I attempted to make a map while in the high woods, but gave up pretty early on and just clicked randomly. It didn't take me very long to find vines OR meepits (even the seventh!) and was less frustrating and time consuming than making a map would have been, at least for me personally.

I love Sophie. She's my hero! I also kinda want to smack Gilly sometimes. >>

And thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! to all the people who have been figuring out the steps and tricks to solving these puzzles. They've been a great help!

Oi!!! Took me forever to find those meepits... I broke down and started mapping the deep woods (much like I did the tombs of the LDP) to make sure I wasn't accidentially going in circles.

Yay, I made it down the cliff. :D The suggestion on the last page really helped me with that part, thank you very much. :)

So, more maze? <_< How on earth do you map these things?

Mon Oct 16, 2006 4:35 am

Yay! I've finished this part of the plot! =D I they update the plot soon and I'm so glad the plot didn't crash while I was playing on it. I finally found my vine combination, thanks to the hint that fructy posted, otherwise I would've been there for ages. My combo was 6-3-1-0-6. Turned out I needed all of the decaying vine, 3 of the rotting, 1 crumbling, and none of the gross vine. Funny. :P

My last Meepit was so stubborn... 1 hour of random clicks and then I finally found it. I loved trying to find out how to make the Meepits dance.. It was so cute and it is now my favourite part of the plot solving so far. :)

"You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike..."

I mapped mine, all three levels.

However, I can't get Meepit Juice Break to load. :(
It's lagged or something. And I have to work tomorrow. Dangit.

In case you're interested in how many people may be following the plot... the "Popularity: ## plays today" has jumped from about 40,000 to about 48,000 in the last five or six hours.

Ahhh that was so much fun!!!

I didn't map a thing. I just randomly clicked everywhere. After awhile, you keep comming back to similar paths, so it's not hard to figure out where to click, and where not to click :)

This plot is a lot of fun. Meepits! How adorable.

TOSO's mini mapping guide!

Step 1: Take a two-sided sheet of computer paper (or two sheets), and divide each side into a 15-square grid--5 rows and 3 columns.

Step 2: Whichever room you're in now, that's number 1. Draw it based on what the 5 paths look like. If there's a tree, draw a crude tree (I suggest a fork with a circle at the top--looks like a tree with branches). For a path that goes straight, draw an up arrow. Draw paths that curve right or left as well, and draw the paths that snake as either S or Z. Don't bother drawing the Meepits.

Step 3: Pick a path to travel. I usually go right to left. Whenever you take a path, draw the number of the room it takes you to above the path you took on your map, and then draw the new room (if it is a new room). Keep doing this until you start hitting the same room more than once. Remember, it's possible for a path to take you to the one you were at before, or even loop back to the same room.

Step 4: When you hit the giant tree with the 7 lights in front of it, make that room 30. Remember there are 2 paths on the sides of it as well.

Tips

-Whenever you've mapped all of the paths in a room, highlight the number. That way, you can easily see the ones you haven't fuilly explored yet.

-When you encounter your first Meepit, be sure to click it. I assume you can go get your juice anytime after that.

-Considering the progress of the plot so far, it's likely there will be a new mapping exercise sometime soon. Now is a VERY good time to learn, because it will probably get harder from here on out.

For anyone that still needs to do the meepits.

The score needed on Meepit Juice Break is only 300 which is obtainable at level 2 of the game. :)

Remember to find a ghost meepit and click on it first - it runs away - then play a game of MJB.

It seems like there are no more major flaws in any stage of the plot? I hope. Cause I am tired and programmers apparently don't sleep. :P

If there is anyone still out there stuck at a dead end, try refreshing now. You should naturally end up and a random area and at worst have to re-find some lost vines but they should be there. If the Caves are still down, or there are any other as-yet-unresolved problems let me know (by PM, thanks). And have fun and good nite to the rest of you. And of course, thank you mods (or just hardworking Scott?) for keeping this thread oh so fine. :battar:

Finally figured out my vines, found all 7 meepits, now I'm just looking for the tree so I can see the creept meepit dance. And then I get to go to bed :D

I don't know about that. I tried that score, and it didn't work.

Yoo hooo! ^^ Finally finished for today... I hope that we don't have to know what our combination for the vines was for future reference... because I wasn't really paying attention when I finally got it.. >.<
