I'm just glad they finally released something. I mean they could have been mean and just said "What Altador Plot? *shifty eyes*". The prizes are pretty plain but I love the plot trophy.

Do you think that fact that it says in the news:

Don't just take your prizes and run, though. That would be rude!

means that something else is to come? Or we have to do something else?

It is a weird statement. o_O

It IS a weird statement. For one, if anyone were to suspect "more to come" that is BS in my opinion. A finale is a finale. Now that people can buy unwanted, unappreciated and de-preciated plot prizes, WHY KEEP THE PLOT OPEN?

Besides we are over it. Even if I didn't complete it in 'real time' I personally wouldn't bother now. The prizes are not even worth buying.

EDIT: TNT, there is actually something SPECIAL about prizes, whether they are a Useless Crystal deflated to under 1K NP or not. Shame on you!

I think they got people's hopes up by waiting so long to release the prizes. The last time that happened was the Lost Desert Plot, and we all know how that went.

If they were just going to give the same cheap prizes to everyone, why did they wait 3 months to do it? Waiting so long built up a lot of anticipation, and when you build anticipation and don't follow through, people end up unhappy.

I am also annoyed that the Cryodrake's Gaze prizes are better. So richly rewarding what I suspect was all luck while not giving out something good for the hard work involved with doing the plot is irksome.

Note that good prizes aren't always 10-icon Battledome weapons. In the last two major events they gave PBs as one of the possible prizes and I think that's an excellent trend, since PBs are valuble and could also do with some deflating.

I would gladly have waited 7 months more for decent prizes, sorry. Pft.

I think the main problem was that none of us really knew what 'mini-plot' constituted as. We were all excited about doing another puzzle-based plot, and thus put forth all our energy into doing the plot. None of us would know that 'mini' meant leaving the plot out for others to do long after it 'officially ended', that we needn't had to waste sleep and worry over it, that the prizes would not be point based and instead were a general reward for bothering to do the whole thing. At least next time, we know better ;(

True, but if the Cyodrake's Gaze prizes weren't so good, then it would have made the "mini-rewards" more acceptable.

I think the wait got us all, plus hints from TNT occasionally to apparently mislead us into thinking it would be "graded" like the LDP, or at least similar. It may not have taken QUITE as long as the LDP but involved steps secretly released, and having information is the most valuable here.

Forgive me if I think TNT is being too kind to people to participate "just for fun" (I am reminded of someone's siggy here "oh you think it's just a game, keep reminding yourself of that .. " lol or something similar). Rather, it seems a lame attempt at page hits really undeserved.

Well it is just a game, but then again gamers spend a lot of TIME and time equals money either enjoying what they are doing or benefitting mentally or artistically or as stress release, etc. Others are even more serious and follow along in real time, searching for clues on and off site. People put together tutorials for Cyodrakes thinking it might even be "bigger." (When I am sure we could all do better things. Sacrificing your time for prizes of this caliber, is hardly equal the time TNT had to prepare such and sell out!)

If TNT wants to create fairness dare I suggest they create 2 types of plots: Those easy to find for casual users unawares, and those more hidden that take even god forbid searching the Internet or just PPT for clues to solve. Then awarding prizes based on that.

It is sad that I feel the Altador side bar "unfinished" and don't even recall it looking like that on first peek (Daze posted a while back)? But don't care to search. What is is. The 'greyed' Altador shot looks awful and I don't recall the very bottom 'book' parts looking like that. Anyway, sorry for ranting. But others are too. It is not that I am ungrateful, to any that feel we are masses just complaining. But I have a suspicion any trying to complete it now, or at least many, will get stuck on the Water Plant or some other point and give up, or give up asking for help. And even then the prizes are not worth buying, I still say. A plot gone to waste, tsk tsk.

ANOTHER GIFT:

King Altador smiles at you as you enter. "In continuing memory of your great service to our land, I'd like to present you with a gift. It's only a small token of our appreciation, but we hope you will find it to your liking."

I just knew it meant something in the news about being rude to grab gifts and run. :)

Yep, that one was available while doing the plot. :)

When I went back to the Council Chamber again, I got this:

Quote:
King Altador frowns at you as you enter. "You've already received your free prize today. I'd like to think you can summon the patience to wait again until tomorrow."

More prizes still to come????
