I was so eager to paint my Elephante brown, and my Aisha white. I chose those colours based on the rainbow pool which has them in the "happy" poses.
The white Aisha looks so cuddly and pretty in the happy pose with a pale yellow accent. But in the lookup the pale yellow blends in with the colour of the background circle. She ended up looking washed out. I generally like the brown Elephante look, but I think it looks better in the happy pose with the smile than it does in the lookup, so I will be changing it soon.

Good thing I now know about rainbowpool.net!

Anybody else ever regretted a paint brush?

I was going to say no, but now I'll say yes. My friend gave my a Starry Paint Brush for my birthday in '04, Starry, to paint my Quiggle. It had long been my goal, and actually, I still liked Starry Quiggle while I proudly displayed it on my account. However, then, my previous favourite species were revamped, losing the sparkle I loved them for. And then I didn't like them. I ended up using a transmog on it and using it for an FFQ - my Maraquan Buzz now sits proudly on my account.

Spotted and Snow slightly I suppose, because they're both on a now frozen account. And that is all, other than a blue to change my mutant Krawk.

:)

Yes, I have, it was a Tyrannian Paint Brush I used on my Peophin, I really wanted to paint him Darigan and I had the point's to do it with, but then I went on a little shopping spree and only had enough left for the Tyrannian PB so that's what he is right now untill I can get the point's saved up again.
I like to do that...work my butt off at the games untill I get to a million or so and then I just go crazy and buy whatever tickles my fancy. I should save it but it just burns a hole in my virtual pocket.

It's just a game, it's just a game, it's just a game, it's just a ga....Yeah, you keep telling yourself that.

I've never bought a Paint Brush, and the one FFQ paint job that is the Plushie Quiggle I have is the pride and joy of my account, so I supose, in a way, no. :)

I found an orange paint brush in a Jacko event and promptly painted my Grundo with it for the avatar. Less than a few days later, I blew 620k on a pink paintbrush for that av, and painted over the orange. Then just a few days after that, the lab zapped her grey, and shortly after, zapped her blue. I do feel as though I wasted those pink and orange brushes, but not for the same reasons as you, I guess :) It was silly to use two brushes on my lab pet, just for two relatively common avatars that most people borrow pets for.

I've only used a brush a couple of times, and I haven't regretted either of them.

Tell me about it... At one time, I was even considering turning the quest down, but in retrospective - I don't think I would've ever forgiven myself for it. 100K for a Plushie paintjob! :D :D :D
That was also the day that my Plushie addiction and my 'grand project' (2 Plushie Pets, Plushie Krawk, and MSPP) started. The Plushie gallery came naturally.
Before that I had some crazy idea for a Jelly and Omelette gallery. Feh, imagine that.
So now, quite some time later, I'm still very happy with my Plushie addiction.
:peace:

Yes. I painted my second poogle checkered and decided that loopsided ranged attack pose ruined it for me. Now I check all the poses many times before painting, just to be sure I won't be annoyed ;) But I can really never tell how I'll feel about the pet once it's painted until I see it done.

I guess I have. But mainly on pets that I no longer have. I remember way back when, I had two pets, an aisha and a meerca. I painted the meerca checkered (about 20k) and I had accidently played with a magical poogle plushie with the aisha..and stupidly I believed that I could still paint her faerie, and she would change back. So I spent 125k on a faerie paint brush and ended up with a faerie poogle. I was not happy.

But that was just dumb on my part. Then I switched accounts, bought the lab map, and didn't paint any pets for a long time. ..Actually I bought a tyrannian pb for a kougra I had. I fell in love with that pet, then abouta week later they revamped the kougra and I HATED the new version. So that was kind of a waste. I was pretty careless with my np way back when, I had a pretty short attention span when it came to my pets.

I guess I have. Back when I won a Fearie Paint Brush, and used it on my Gelert, which I then abandoned to make another Krawk. If I hadn't used it back then, I could have sold it now for millions.

I also used a paint brush a few weeks before I bought the lab map, so it really didn't do much... It cost me 100k at the time, but I enjoyed it while I had it.
