Isaac followed her down the slope, hoping she didn't jar her leg when she hit the bottom. Isaac couldn't, for the life of him, figure out why he cared so much about these two people. He haden't even known them an entire day. He really cared for Shiloh. If it had been anyone else, he wouldn't have cared if they got burnt. Something about Shiloh brought the best out in him.

Shiloh used her good leg to stop herself at the bottom and stood, looking over at Isaac. She then looked to Ekkid, streaming her fingers through her hair. She quickly tied it back into a low ponytail so tht it wouldn't get in her way and also so she could concentrate and think better at once.

Ekkid reached out with his mind, hearing all of the thoughts that raced through Shiloh's mind as she looked over at him. He reached out with a psychic probe and grasped her hand, pulling her next to him. He turned his power onto himself, and psychicly lifted a hand to raise next to Shiloh's. He reached out with his mind and pulled Isaac gently forward with a tug on the shirt. He made sure that they knew that it was him inside.

Shiloh closed her eyes for a moment, taking in a deep, slow breath when Ekkid's hand had reached hers. "Do me a favor: If any of them people get too close or start yelling, try to keep them back," she muttered to Isaac. The glow from her palm strengthened, causing Ekkid's own hand to glow red like when you would place a flashlight beneath your fingers. She raised her other hand and cupped it around the back of his hand, lacing all of her fingers through his. The glow strengthened with a pulse and warmth filled with positive energy poured from her hands into his own, racing throughout his body. Shiloh could hear a few yells from the others not far off and blocked out her mind to them. A hint of a smile tugged at the corners of her lips and suddenly, the glow faded and she dropped her hands to her knees, letting out a breath of relief as if she had been holding it the entire time. "That's about all I can do...transfer my energy to him," she said, looking to Isaac.

Ekkid felt a tiny pinprick begin to touch the back of his hand. It grew in intensity until it enveloped his entire hand. His hand throbbed in life. The rest of his body laid lifeless, but Ekkid could twitch his fingers slightly. He reached out again with his mind and brought Shiloh around to his other side, mentally lifting his hand to hers again. Shiloh..He sighed, sending the thought across into her mind. He noticed that her mind was racing with all sorts of thoughts at once. He looked over with his psychic sight at Isaac. Isaac stood silent, his figured deterring anyone from approaching. The thoughts of those along the rim of the crater spiked as they all looked down at Shiloh standing over Ekkid.

Shiloh took his other hand and got on her same posture, drawing in another deep and slow breath. She reached as far down into herself as she could, bringing up a strong wave of yet more energy. 'This is all I got left...' she thought silently. Then, suddenly, the glow appeared again, only much stronger than last time and Shiloh focused on the transfer. The energy leaked down and through Ekkid's arm and gave a pulse and then began to reach out to other parts of his body. Shiloh let out her breath and squeezed her eyes shut, allowing a flow of heat from her pyro abilities to follow after all the energy and then she stopped, allowing her shoulders to sag in pure exhaustion. She reached her arm to her forehead, dabbing at a tiny bit of sweat. Then, she just sat there, collecting herself and bringing her mind back to reality.

Ekkid felt this energy wave bypass his hand. It arched into his back, and his spasmically sat up. The thoughts of those around the rim exploded, and Ekkid felt the energy leaving him, both in his hand and his back. He was now stuck in a sitting position. He mentally sighed. I suppose that I will be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Ekkid mused to Shiloh. I have found new powers, Shy. New, better powers. He focused his mind, shutting out the mental shouting of the people watching above. His body did not move, the muscles locked in place.

Shiloh could only listen to him at that moment, feeling a bit light headed. She then looked to him and took his hand yet again, nodding. 'Just give me a few more minutes,' she mind-spoke to him, ignoring the strands of hair that fell loosely before her face. Her grip on his hand tightened and she closed her eyes yet again, sitting on her knees but shifting most of her weight to her good leg. Shiloh let all thoughts slip from her mind, ignoring every prescence there was, blocking out every sound and feeling.
Then, at the edge of the crater, a glow picked up again, creating a circle around them. Fire warmed it and the circle grew smaller until it surrounded just her and Ekkid. Another smaller one was created and a type of writing showed and this time, flames actually arose and began to spiral around them. Shiloh's left eye twitched with concentration and the flames died down. Mentally, she began to pull them towards herself and Ekkid until she could feel the heat on her skin. She could feel the electricity from it and drew that into herself until it simply welled up inside of her. In one wave, all of the energy went to Ekkid like before, but so much stronger and the flames grew and then instantly died when Shiloh stopped everything, bowing her head and panting, her feirce eyes opening. "That's all." She felt totally drained and knew that she had used up every single ounce of anything she had. She just wanted to sleep...She felt so, so tired and was simply done.

Ekkid felt strength surge through his body, and he opened his eyes. He stretched out his muscles. He caught Shiloh from falling over, and held her close. He tried to speak, but found that he still could not. Thank you, Shiloh. He helped her to her feet and looked over at Isaac. You can stop that now. He thought, sending the thought into Isaac's mind psychicly.

Isaac, who had been silently channeling his energy through his bond with Shiloh to Ekkid, heard Ekkid and stopped, himself very drained. Alright, Ekkid.. He thought to his friend. I'll try to make something to help you move when I get my strength back. Isaac could make shadows hold corperal forms through extreme concentration and a bit of extra strength. Before he had always taken it from his own shadow, but until he found another Shadowmancer, he would have to use these two's powers.

((The bond with Shiloh was from when Isaac gave her his strength earlier.))

Weary could now be seen upon Shiloh's face, even though she tried her best to hide it. She looked towards the school, shaking her head. "This really sucks..." She looked back to Ekkid. "Do you trust him now? Isaac, I mean."

Ekkid shook his head, smiling a bit to himself. He disappeared in the middle of battle. He looked about, his vision still flashing between his eyes and mind. He still struggled to maintain all of his faculties.

Shiloh gave him a look and then sighed. "Guys. I swear. And not everyone has to play the tough guy act." She looked at all the people edging towards them and made a face. "Joy...more people to deal with..."

"Hey!" Isaac shouted, drawing looks from the staff, "I woke up in that tree! I did NOT run away!" Isaac was fuming by now. "I was helping Shiloh and the next thing I knew I was in that tree!" He pointed furiously in the direction of the tree he was in earlier. At this point he didn't care if they heard him all the way back at the school, he was tired, he was hurt, and he had just risked his life for this guy and all he could say is that he was a coward!

Quiet down. Ekkid sent, looking sharply at Isaac. No one can hear what I say except those that I want to hear it, so you look crazy. He pushed against the ground with his psychic power, pulling himself up into the air. He floated onto the edge of the crater and looked down at Shiloh and Isaac.

We can discuss this later, without all of these knuckleheads around. He said, aiming the thought at Isaac alone. Or do you want to talk about them now? We can do it in private. There aren't any other mind-readers here. He quickly scanned the thoughts of those standing around him, and found that most people were grateful that he survived. Very few were concerned with his new powers, but even those were stifled by their own mind. He reached down and mentally pulled them up out of the crater, setting them down next to himself.
