<_<

Non-school related, nothing at the moment, though I'm thinking about either borrowing/buying The Da Vinci Code or 1984.

Just finished rereading all the (complete) Hitchiker books by Douglas Adams. I always forget how much of a bummer Mostly Harmless is. Actually, I had mostly forgotten everything from the series, which is why I decided to read the books again. Next I'm going to mosey on down to the library and pick up The Salmon of Doubt.
Also just finished reading a book with tons of US historical trivia stuff. Did you know Thomas Jefferson was once sent a 1,235-pound cheese?

I have The Ultimate Hitchiker's Guide. It's really good. Wasn't that cheese from France?

That's the way I read them...I should really buy it.
The cheese was from farmers in Massachusetts. It was sent to Jefferson as a gift, but he gave the farmers $200 because they weren't rich people. The cheese was sent in 1802 and supposedly served at the White House until 1805.

Just a brief History of Eastern Philosophy. Unfortunately it dives right in with book names that I'm not familiar with.

Ok. That's weird. I've been in the middle of The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide for a while now and had just decided to finally post about it when I scroll down and see your post.

I'm loving it. Douglas Adams is my hero.

I know the bhagavad gita, I tried to read it once but after 50 pages of 'You will not even be able to comprehend the smallest molecule of the sublime truth contained within these pages as a mortal human and een less so if you have not converted and devoted your life to Krishna' I stopped.
