Anjuna the brace kentari is talking about is the rope and pulley which keeps the topsail connected to the ship and not flapping in the wind. It came loose which means the rope was giving to much slack and the sail would have flown away and what use is a ship without a sail albeit its capability to fly?
I was also just wondering is Shumi even a choice or has he been completely ruled out because of his "attached at the hip" with the captain?

I'm guessing that maybe TNT found that too few people were taking part in the full blown complicated insane plumbing, inflation shopping, style plots. So maybe they've decided to simplify plots down to something that's easier to jump into.
Was anybody around back when they had a murder mystery plot on Terror Mountain? That was before my time, but I think it was something similar to this - basically getting clues and making guesses.
What I like about this is that even though it's less exciting everybody has an equally fair chance.

If they had dinner before supper then they're definitely going with the dinner as lunch terminology. Probably a tribute to Donna and Adam's British roots.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but one of the patterns around the grid map look like they're saying "HEH, HEH, HEH, HEH,". Neopets is that evil...

I think it could be two people Linae or Anshu. I think Linae because she said she worked side by side with hoban twice but we only see one of them and it doesn't look like hoban is helping. The second time she "worked" with him could have been when she "pushed" him off. I also suspect anshu because when he talks about the arguement he says that hoban spoke in "nautical terms" which were "all tyrannian" to Anshu. Now if you're on a boat whether you're a doctor or not shouldn't you be up to snuff on sailor lingo. It seems odd and i think he is dodging the question.

Okay, I even thought it was something like that, but could it happen because someone used that rope to catch for safety when being thrown off?
EDIT: And anyone else want to venture a guess about the map IN the ship after Hoban was lost? Doesn't that mean someone else had to fill it in OR that the last mark made was the one Hoban made?

Are we to assume that Hoban drew all of the "grid" in the actual story? Or that this is just TNT's "key" (as in all maps have keys, coordinates, direction, etc. and these are just part of the multiple choice "test", too)?

To heck with it. I've guessed as best I could, but I'll bet my answers are all wrong anyway. I really want to talk about why I picked who I did, but I'm afraid of spoiling things on the off chance I actually got it right. Suffice it to say it came down to a point where it was one person's word against the other's, and I picked the one who seemed least likely to be lying. Though if you ask me, there's many inconsistencies and time gaps wide enough to drive a mad truck through in <i>everyone's</i> retelling.

It kind of seems weird to me, Anshu seems most suspicious to me because I swear I can prove many an inconsistency (ahem lie) but Chef, according to the "timeline" (although Anshu was very vague) was the last one known to be seen with Hoban really. But in the end, almost any "accident" could happen in a rocky storm, someone gets bumped by something, falls on someone, gets knocked over. Who is lying about what?
